I love myself just the way I am. I love you just the way you are. Inspiration from Mister Rogers.
"It's You I Like It’s you I like, It’s not the things you wear, It’s not the way you do your hair, But it’s you I like. The way you are right now, The way down deep inside you. Not the things that hide you, Not your toys, They’re just beside you.
But it’s you I like. Every part of you. Your skin, your eyes, your feelings Whether old or new. I hope that you’ll remember, Even when you’re feeling blue. That it’s you I like, It’s you yourself It’s you. It’s you I like." -Mister Rogers --- Robin Greenfield is a truth-seeker, activist, social reformer and servant to Earth, humanity and our plant and animal relatives. Hello dear friends.
Do you know what allows me to be me exactly the way I am?
Well, it's because I love myself.
Just the way I am, I love myself.
Just the way I am.
And when you love yourself, just the way you are, you become free.
And when you like yourself, just the way you are, you become free.
You become free to be you.
Because you're no longer judging yourself.
You're no longer doing this whole game of guilt and shame.
You're no longer saying probably what's right or wrong.
You're just saying and so it is.
I love myself.
Just the way I am, I love myself.
Just the way I am.
Just the way I am, I love myself.
And just saying those words does something.
It takes a lot to love ourselves just the way we are.
I mean, isn't that kind of like what ideally all of us would want?
To accept ourselves for who we are?
Not be a prisoner of our own mind and our own selves?
So it takes work to do.
And so one way to do that is to say it.
I love myself just the way I am.
Okay, even if you don't, here's the reason why saying it.
I think to be a sound strategy.
Because when you say it, you hear it.
And the more times you say it, the more you hear it and the more it becomes sincere.
It might not be sincere right away that you love yourself just the way you are.
But put it into your mind that you do.
It's almost a form of tricking the mind.
And you can call it what you want, but the reality is that the strategy works now.
Not if you just say that, but you also have to be doing the other work to love yourself
just the way you are.
Which requires understanding who you are, right?
You generally are going to have an easier time accepting yourself if you can understand
yourself.
So that's where self-observation comes in.
And that's where analyzation comes in.
Analyzation of our mind.
To love ourselves just the way we are, I believe it's an incredible tool to understand ourselves
just the way we are.
To understand ourselves just the way we are is a tool to love ourselves just the way we
are.
So I do love myself just the way I am.
And you know what I've found?
That the more I love myself just the way I am, the more I actually love others just the
way they are.
Because if I'm judging myself, I'm probably judging others.
And if I have ideas about myself that are a belief of incompleteness or wholeness, then
I'll probably be putting that upon others as well.
And so liking myself just the way I am is probably one of the greatest tools for developing
a universal love for humanity.
These are just my experiences and I'm just sharing them.
You can take them or leave them.
May they serve you, shall you desire them to serve you.
And if you have just become irritated watching this video, then I encourage you to love yourself
just the way you are.
And once you love yourself just the way you are, nothing outside of you can irritate you
anymore because you realize that you're responsible for the feelings inside of yourself.
Nobody can make you feel anything.
That's my belief.
Nobody can make me feel anything, not when I'm a master of my mind.
And I don't think there's any people who have mastered their mind who didn't like themselves
just the way they are.
And thus, being in their presence resulted in a more accepting, calming, nurturing way
of being because they loved themselves just the way they were.
And they could be around others and love them just the way they are.
And that's powerful.
Because a lot of people are never loved just the way they are.
Our whole society is designed to make us not love ourselves.
Think we need these clothes and this jewelry and this makeup and this house and this car
and this high-paying job and this amount of money or this amount of followers on social
media, whatever it may be, a certain look.
And you can see the ways in which that is in society if you just look at how huge the
medical industry exists just for people to alter their body.
And only physical appearance purpose, millions of us, once we love ourselves just the way
we are, we wouldn't do that because we love ourselves just the way we are, just the way
we are.
And I'm not saying that I truly love myself just the way I am.
I still have work to do.
But I've done a lot of work to really love myself just the way I am.
And I hope that the more we can love ourselves just the way we are, the more we can be servants
to each other and to create healing.
Yeah.
So, well, I love you all very much and I'll see you on the road again soon.
I love myself just the way I am.
Just the way I am.
I love myself just the way I am.
I love myself and I like myself too.
