Chris Evans interview with Lindsey McKeon - Part 1

Hi everyone, I'm Lindsay McKean and this is Evolve. My special special guest, Chris Evans. Hi everyone. And we drink beers because it's what I do. That's what he does. Great at it. First question, who were you in school? Vandy, Jock. How has that affected your life now or how have you tried to get away from it? Try to get away from it, that's interesting. I don't really know what I was. I think I was pretty down the middle. I don't feel like I was, you know, I had my group of friends. I played a couple sports but I also did a lot of theater. I think I was like most kids. I was eager to fit in. Very keenly aware of my insecurity and how that would kind of manifest itself. Curious about the source of that kind of internal narrative and how it's, and how it can really start to feel like who you are as opposed to just your brain noise. I don't think most people have that separation, especially at that age. Maybe not. They're kind of run by it. I know that our past certainly influences us as we age, but I've tried to put down a lot of that resistance over time. I try not to. Resistance to the person that you were? Desire to push life around. You just don't have to. Okay, so what's the difference between that and being complacent? It's strange to think that somehow ambition or drive is the only way to continue, you know, reinventing your freshness. It's not passive. It's a very strong position. That's what I think.
