Final Round Highlights | 2024 Betfred British Masters

this is his eagle chance of the third he's got a lovely drive and a beautiful six iron right into the center of the green good strike that's the distance a bit a lot of spin oh yeah it's beautiful beautiful yes gorgeous second into six some drive there it's unbelievable it's fairly easy i think he has just run out of fairway heavenly par 3 seventh 168 yards today flag 12 on just three off the right don't miss it right because that'll get miss it right we missed it right that is a disgrace all right back one two yes for spenson into the sixth yeah we've seen some wonderful shots you can see the pin just to the right of the his hat almost give it a slice oh he's done it well it's coming right round oh what a shot look at this look at this oh magnificent from the young italian just magnificent i love to see plays like that this looks a little long needs to spin very tricky to do that excellent shot makes the most of a neck perfect t-shot longest today here quick quick slow for three birdies in a row beautifully done nice pace that is some start isn't it for jong won ko the 26 year old french right to left in this one oh it's on the road nice this has to go past the flag nothing short of it he's headed high look where his eyes are going but getting control is a different story and he was always going to go a little right at the flag and that is an excellent shot well he seemed to maybe just slightly more across the slope better angle what a beauty what a beauty just at the right time just at the right time stone should have learned a little bit from his playing partner to get to nine under that took oh didn't affect it though very well read i didn't expect it to turn quite that much this is a narrow target it's 10 yards wide where the flag is cut had a shocker here yesterday didn't it can yes not today not today though no glorious glorious for the powerful norgaard just massive absolutely absolutely loves it ripped it right over the middle of the trap bounding down the fairway he doesn't see the trouble when he can carry it perfectly up here andrew wilson he's pushed it a bit i think with a spin left yeah lovely shot it's a very easy shot on a monday morning that one isn't he branches in his way antony they are but he'll go around them they're okay you can just sort of go under and over that is just absolutely superb getting tight here put some pressure on his playing partners in a perfect spot just don't want to spin it too much he's got such a lot of action on it where's this going yeah well done stunted follow through try to take a bit of backspin off it a little bit lower trajectory oh yes you're right on that was there and marcus kennelt on the 14th on the 14th oh one of the longest we've seen hold today it was really good putter that was a beauty quite so difficult 12th today still a bit daunting locale isn't it it's a medium to long iron that's a beauty after three putter on 11 you would have been angry that's a beauty just outside the top 10 11th can he get it come on jordan yes nice one it's not a bad week high guard at 14 that's for birdie tough par three touch off the left yes well done rasmus three putted 11 but nice birdie on 12 bogey at 13 birdie at 14 a big chance here for nor guard and three yeah similar but more up the hill so he can certainly be aggressive sam and he's got it at just the right moment for nicholas norgart it's his first birdie since the second hole he's back to level par for the day and he's back out to two in front of tristan lawrence quite a swing on this one oh slams it in there this one is going to get the proverbial hiding take that you little like that oh the air time hang time and the run oh my good lord my gosh is he gonna run out of fairway there could do don't max rutloff for another birdie this time at the par 5 17th wow pouring them in there we go he moves to five under just inside the top 20 hold much today a little right to left if anything he's putted so well this week he really has he's hardly missed a thing bingo back to back birdies for nicholas norgard who has moved four shots clear at the top of the field coming out of the rough pin on the right high side of the green and bouncing well done really you have to feed it in from the right superbly well played just to the left of the flag or two yards you run down a steep bank one over for the day this would help a lot yeah he's that's where his heart and his sleeve and we like to see that on a lousy day he's three over for the day make that two yeah remember he led at the halfway stage of this tournament but he had a poor day yesterday and not a good sunday he could just nudge one in closer it could be so valuable oh that's lovely it really is a high soft low to them to that flag and leaves himself an uphill putt lovely swing i think he likes it is it up oh yes that was magnificent great chance for birdie beautiful absolutely beautiful right in the middle how good are those two parts sam at 16 and 17 and at the age of 32 it is a breakthrough victory for denmark's nicholas norgard nicholas i mean first of all uh you've got quite a wet t-shirt on and you stink of champagne but this must feel incredible you are the 2024 betfred british masters champion how incredible does this feel very very good i never thought i was gonna be i almost didn't cry at my wedding reception isn't it walking up 18 you know it's a difficult t-shirt but also seeing all your danish friends supporting you on this screen i'm sure you got friends and family watching from home as well you know what the sacrifices and the time and the effort that's taken place for this victory to really unfold so much it's my mom my dad my sister my wife they're they're all sacrificing a lot and me not being home and me helping me be become the player i've tried to become it's just been a huge help and i'm i was trying not to think too much about it but in the morning this morning i almost threw up in the breakfast and i was just so nervous uh help coming out here on the course but and then i made the that show on on hole 7 15 i thought did i give it away there but it's just very happy how it ended here how did you control your nerves out there like you said on 15 it was quite unexpected you've been playing some incredible golf up till now you know how did you compose yourself the thing is i was not that nervous there i'm just really bad at chipping especially sometimes and but then important one was the one on 17 that part there and it's just been some good parts and yeah i tried not to think about it too much but this whole 18 can can get the most of you and i was just happy to find the fairway and then it was better here and then the guys coming into the 18th was special
