GRETNA GREEN | 4K Narrated Walking Tour | Let's Walk 2024

Join me for a walk around the delightful Scottish village of Gretna Green, the 'marriage capital' of Britain. Located just under a mile over the border from England, this famous spot was once the prime destination for runaway lovers looking to get married outside strict marriage regulations in England, and to this day it remains a busy wedding spot - as many as one in six marriages in Scotland are still carried out in Gretna Green!

On our walk around Gretna Green, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Gretna Old Parish Church (Graitney Kirk), Prince Charlie's Cottage, Gretna Green War Memorial, Gretna Hall Hotel, the A74(M) motorway, Gretna Green's World Famous Old Blacksmith's Shop, the Lucky Arch, the Wall of Love and the Courtship Maze.
