L. Coenen snatches the victory to de Wolf in last lap! | 2024 MXGP of Turkiye

You've got two bikes that are so evenly matched, two riders right at the very top of their game as well. First and second in the World Championship, first and second in the race. Where is the chink? Where is the opportunity going to come? Might be here. Outside, inside, dive down the inside, he does find his way and looks across, closes down the exit. De Wolff gets pushed back into second position. Perfectly timed, we'll have to wait and see, but Lucas Koonen leads on the final lap. And De Wolff trying too hard to get back on terms, coming out of that turn, he spins up, his opportunity is gone, the body language says you take it, you've worked for it, you take it, I'll take the knock, but I'll still keep the championship leader's red plate, Lucas Koonen take a bout. Haarem looks like he's gonna hang on for third just, but look how close Langenfelder and Evans are behind him, these guys fighting over third, fourth, fifth, but out of the final turn, Lucas Koonen has broke the resolve of his teammate, he goes 1-1, he wins the MXGP of Turkey, the Nastan Hasvana, another golf swing, another salute, and look at the emotion from the young Belgian, he did time it to perfection, and he does close down the gap to his teammate, just having a moment to let it soak in, looks across the team over to the right.
