Visibility 15.
Wind so east 14.
Seas 3, foot moderate, with a low southwesterly swell.
Well, we're off.
Moving. It feels so good to get out of that marina and onto the ocean.
It's quite chilly, obviously.
Yeah, it's not the summertime yet.
Not the summertime yet.
Nowhere near it, but we're good.
Yeah, honestly, it's looking gorgeous out here. I'm really excited.
We're getting a lot of wake.
Well, it's either swell or wake from a bunch of tanker ships.
I can't quite tell, but I think once we round this corner, it should get a little better.
What's our speed?
This is the part where the currents are not ideal.
And we know it's always really strong coming around this corner.
So we're just taking it easy, one step at a time.
But they're feisty.
Very, very feisty. It's kind of crazy.
We are two hours in, and we're making pretty good times.
We've done about 10 nautical miles.
We're pretty chilly.
Pretty chilly, so we're making some coffee to warm us up a little bit.
So far, so good that we got through the really gnarly currents.
We didn't film too much of them.
We just kind of focused on getting through them.
And it should be smooth sailing from here.
And we should, in theory, be picking up speed as we go with the currents.
Because in theory, all day, the currents will speed more and more with us.
So that's the hope. We'll try to get the sails up here in a little bit, I think.
We're keeping up.
Like I am.
Since a child.
As they still burn for tomorrow.
And keep.
I see it.
It's all.
We're keeping up.
Some highs, and I see it.
Why I'm alive.
Chilling?
We're racing with daylight right now, but we'll be fine.
We did it!
Holy!
I am exhausted.
Yeah, me too. I'm tired.
We, I mean a lot of people do a lot longer days, but this is a big day for us.
We did 36.5 nautical miles.
And it took us just over 7 hours.
Which is pretty good.
Yeah, we had to make our, we would normally break this trip up just for fun, but we had to make it in one day.
Yeah.
Due to life constraints.
Life constraints, weather constraints.
Weather constraints.
Anyway, it feels super good to make it here.
It feels really, really good.
Yeah.
I think the exhaustion is kind of hitting me now.
Yeah, we're going to muster all of our remaining energy to cook some dinner and put the cabin back in order.
All those stayed pretty tidy.
Yeah, it was a very successful trip.
Very successful.
No hiccups.
No.
Smooth sailing. We got the sails up for a little bit, but we were really fighting daylight, or racing daylight.
So we just couldn't mess around too much with the sails and that kind of thing.
But we got them up for a while and then the wind died and that was that.
But it was fun. It was very, very fun.
I had a great day on the water.
Yeah.
So the plan now is to start a little fire.
Make burritos.
Yeah, it's still...
Chill out. It's still quite chilly here.
Very, yeah, very chilly.
The cabin is warm right now because of the engine, but we're going to slowly start losing that heat now.
Yeah, yeah.
So, let's go.
Yeah.
Got it.
Yes.
Do we need cabbage?
Or I guess...
Yeah, the temperature's really dropping.
Beans.
I'm so excited. We haven't had boat burritos since, like, last summer.
So there's something about being on the boat that gives them a special flavor, too.
Yeah. Yeah, it always tastes better.
I love that sound of, like, the stove.
Can garlic make you cry?
I didn't know it could.
How you doing out here?
Good. Can you see that?
Oh, that looks delicious.
Yeah, nothing better than a boat burrito, for sure.
I've eaten these, like, a hundred times.
Steal one.
You can boil it off.
I was thinking I could...
I mean, I could turn on a light.
It's not as big as you think, actually.
It is saucy, though.
Okay, number three.
I'm so hungry.
This is exactly what I need.
Thanks to one of our patrons for sending us these.
We're excited to try them out. It should help.
They're fire starters, and then we've got some compressed sawdust as fuel.
Let's make a fire.
Yeah.
