Closer Look: Guardi’s “Regatta in Venice” and “View of the Cannaregio Canal in Venice”

Exploring how light and the movement of boats interact with Guardi’s mysterious figures, Andersson suggests that these works romanticize Venetian life and labor in the eighteenth century.
