
Arkansas State Police primary in pursuit & conduct PIT MANEUVER in 30 sec - Charger full of drugs
Trooper's Report:
On Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 8:00 PM, I, Trooper Carter Lazenby, observed a silver Dodge Charger traveling
north on South Division Street, fleeing from multiple Blytheville Police Officers near the Love’s Travel Stop. Blytheville Police
Department requested assistance from Arkansas State Police as they approached South Division Street.
I pulled out into the roadway, activated my emergency lights and siren and took primary of the pursuit. The suspect vehicle
continued to flee, traveling north on South Division Street reaching speeds of approximately 75 mph. I continued to pursue the
vehicle, approaching Arkansas Northeastern College for approximately a quarter mile. The suspect maintained a speed of 75-
milers per hour, getting closer to residential neighborhoods. As we approached ANC, I moved in and performed a successful
Tactical Vehicle Intervention, ending the pursuit.
A felony take down was conducted, taking both the driver and passenger into custody without further incident. The driver,
identified as Demarquese Evans, was transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department by a Blytheville Officer. The
passenger, Kobe Debose, was transported to Great River Medical Center in Blytheville for minor shoulder pain.
A vehicle inventory yielded the discovery of approximately one pound of marijuana, 111 Oxycodone pills, 30 Adderall pills,
one handgun, and one AR style rifle.
All evidence was turned over and collected on scene by Special Agent Sergeant Josh
Simmons of the Blytheville Police Department’s 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force.
