In today's vlog we combine two days into one! We left Fort Frances and said goodbye and thank you to Jackie and Gerry for an amazing experience and headed towards Thunder Bay. We stopped at the Kakabeka Falls near TBay for a picnic and it was so beautiful it didn't look real. Truly the Niagra Falls of the north as they call it. We finished day one in Thunder Bay back at our friends house for the night. The next morning we visited the Terry Fox Memorial, where Fox was forced to stop his run across Canada on August 31st 1980 due to cancer. Worth a visit for a true Canadian Hero. We had another picnic, this time on Lake Superior before reaching Pukaskwa National Park! This park is jaw dropping! Absolutely crazy how this landscape is in our own home province of Ontario! It's a must go to destination on your drive around Lake Superior for sure.
Thanks for watching! 😄
We upload a new adventure twice a week now, Mondays and Thursdays!

👩❤️👨MORE ABOUT US: We met at LaSalle Secondary School in Kingston Ontario and we’ve been together for over 8 years now. Keith comes from a bilingual military family and Devon from a Kingston family of teachers. We made it through Queen’s University together where Keith studied Mechanical Engineering and Devon, Concurrent Education and Global Development. Right now we’re travelling across Canada in a Dodge Caravan for the entire month but come January 2022 we have bigger plans in mind. Our goal is to #travel full time, become #selfemployed, and #explore the world while sharing what we’ve learned and capturing our experiences. 🌎✈️📚
Don't start crying because I would.
Not goodbye, it's see you later.
See you later.
So thanks Jackie and Jerry for having us.
It was a fantastic time. We were fed, we were everything.
So many great conversations too.
And good stories.
We learned a lot from you.
Same.
Merci beaucoup.
À la prochaine.
What a fantastic experience.
That's exactly what makes a road trip.
Meeting new people and having such
deep connections and experiences like that.
I literally have no words
for the last
less than 24 hours.
Thank you guys so much for everything. That was incredible.
People are so kind.
My heart is so full.
And this day has just started.
We're Keith and Deb.
This past year we started a YouTube channel
to make the most of each day.
Most recently we have converted a
2011 Dodge Caravan
and have been traveling across Canada
from Ontario all the way to BC.
And all the way back.
Subscribe to follow along.
So now we are off to
Thunder Bay.
And there is one over here.
I realized I didn't really sleep much last night
because there was a big thunderstorm.
So that little sleep was good. I think I slept.
I hope I slept.
And yeah, we're going to go to Waterfall
and go see Tarik Fox.
Update. We have switched into another
time zone. It is now 4pm.
We lost another hour.
So we bought some wasabi
beans on the trip. Yes.
And we were just eating them. Keith had this idea
I only eat one at a time and they taste good.
And you get a little like, ooh, a little spice.
Devon was complaining though.
She said, you know, I feel like now
I don't feel the spice at all.
I got six. Let's see what they look like.
Okay, ready and go.
Oh no.
It's in my nose.
Easy.
That's a lot spicier.
My eyes are watering a bit. See you at the falls.
We made it to the falls.
It's windy and loud
but beautiful.
And there's a really cool walking path.
I think we're going to post up right here
and eat some lunch.
Good. It hits the spot. We were hungry.
We have a nice view.
And sunny.
Look at Sophie. Yeah.
Right there.
This is Sophie.
We're back in Thunder Bay at Richard
and Brenda Cedar and Nema's house.
They are at a birthday party and they said we're
welcome to come here, hang out, do some editing,
eat our sundaes we just picked up
until they get back this evening.
The next day. We're here at the Terry Fox
Monument in Thunder Bay.
Thank you again to Richard,
Nema, Cedar and Brenda. They let us
park our car at their house again.
We did some computer work last night and then hit the hay.
Yeah. We were pretty tired.
Time difference hits us hard.
It's only an hour though.
And so today, where are we going, Keith?
Because I always pronounce it wrong.
Today we're going to Pukkasaw. It's also a national park
and it's only three hours away and it's right beside
Marathon where we'll be camping for the night.
Same spot as last time. Also, this was a really
fantastic monument and it was beautiful.
I would recommend coming here if you're in the area.
For sure. So let's go to
Pukkasaw.
Our second
picnic spot. What a beautiful
and this is so nice. Ontario has
these great rest stops.
And now there's something
for me here. A bag full of belingish
so I can make myself a nice sandwich.
Belingish is Portuguese.
It's a Portuguese bun.
Look at that. Gluten free,
extra gluten.
We're back on the road. Two hours to our
hike. We had a yummy lunch at a great
location. Lake Superior is so
beautiful. What am I doing
with my hand?
Like this.
We're going to keep driving.
See you there.
We made it. Hooray!
We're both a little
sleepy. Very sleepy actually.
It's only a three hour drive but it felt like more than that.
It's always sleepy these days.
It is 4.30ish
but we are still going to go on a hike.
We are now in another park.
We've been in so many.
Man, I love our national parks.
We started our hike. So far
so beautiful.
There's a teepee over there.
This place is so gorgeous. The first hike
we're doing is 2.2 kilometers.
It's the Southern Head Trail
and then we're going to decide after that
if we want to keep going to another one or just
end there. And have dinner at our
campsite.
Did we go the wrong way already?
Yeah, maybe. Did we follow you?
I don't know what happened.
Okay? I don't know what happened.
Keith is going to tell you something we just learned
that's super cool. Well I can't
do the history of Lake Superior Justice
but I can say this is some of the oldest
rock in the world. It says 3 billion
years ago it was formed. Additionally, this
sign says that this lake is so
big it has an air conditioning and warming effect
on the world and the environment around it.
So these trees actually change color
later than the trees down south.
During the fall. It's warm up here.
This place is so incredible
and this tiny hike is going to end up taking
us a while because we literally stop every
five seconds. Just soak everything in.
It's just, oh my goodness.
This is in Ontario. This is incredible.
And again, another different landscape.
Another different type of topography and
geological features.
I know.
Devin sprayed water
all over me. So
to these hikers I just walked by, it looks like I peed myself.
It was an accident that I sprayed him with water
and I sprayed myself too. I was trying to be
helpful and this happens often
where then it ends up making a mess.
We made it.
We are at Marathon
at Cardin Cove and we're here for the evening
and it's not even dark out yet.
We did forget though that
this site does have some noise because there's a train
and a construction site right there.
Hopefully it stops in the evening.
Hopefully this time there's no thunderstorm like last time.
So we're going to wrap up our video here
and we're going to try and make spaghetti on our
stove tonight for dinner. With turkey sausages.
Fingers crossed it works.
We'll fill you in tomorrow how that goes. Yeah, hopefully it works.
We hope you enjoyed the last two days
of our road trip and we'll see you tomorrow.
Thanks for watching.
