Hey there, welcome back to Cooking Frog. Today we got something super special on the menu,
bang bang chicken skewers that are just too good to pass up. All right, before we dive into the
magic of our bang bang sauce, let's get our chicken ready. You'll want to cut it into two
inch pieces. This size is perfect for getting that juicy inside and crispy outside on each skewer.
All right, let's season our chicken pieces to get them ready for the skewers.
First, coat the chicken in one tablespoon of olive oil to make sure all the spices stick nicely.
Then, sprinkle one teaspoon of garlic powder, one teaspoon of onion powder, one teaspoon of paprika,
one teaspoon of salt, and finish off with half a teaspoon of black pepper.
Toss everything together until each piece is evenly coated with this delicious spice mix.
Time to make our bang bang sauce. Just mix together one and a quarter cups of mayonnaise,
two-thirds cup of Thai sweet chili sauce,
two teaspoons of sriracha, one tablespoon of honey, one teaspoon of lime juice,
and two teaspoons of lime zest. Stir until it's perfectly smooth. There you have it,
a knockout sauce that's ready in no time. Now grab those skewers and let's thread the
seasoned chicken cubes onto them. Before we pop these skewers into the air fryer,
let's not forget the most crucial step, giving them a generous brush with our bang bang sauce.
This is where the magic happens, folks. Grab a brush and slather that rich spicy and sweet sauce
all over the chicken cubes. Preheat your air fryer for three minutes, then brush the basket
with olive oil. Set it to 400 degrees and the timer to 11 to 12 minutes. Place your chicken
skewers in the air fryer. Ready, set, cook. Halfway through cooking, flip the skewers and
brush more sauce on the other side. This guarantees a rich caramelized finish, perfect for that extra
flavor. Important note, the chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees
Fahrenheit. Check out how fantastic these turned out. Drizzle them with the reserved bang bang sauce,
then sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish. If you've liked this recipe,
