Charlotte, Ivy and Polar Star - our three resident koalas at Friends of the Koala

Polar Star now lives with Charlotte and Ivy as a resident koala in our Koala Care Centre. Our resident koalas Charlotte and Ivy both have hip dysplasia and wouldn't be able to survive life in the wild. Hip dysplasia limits their ability to climb and jump.
Whilst Polar Star was in good health when she came to us, she is visually impaired and was spotted wandering aimlessly by a landowner. We don't know if Polar Star could have survived in the wild, but under the Code of Practice we couldn't release her back to the wild. We applied for a special licence to keep her onsite with Ivy and Charlotte.
All three are getting along in run one - they are just adorable together!
