Recently, Beijing asserted that it will not be the first to use nuclear weapons and won’t use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear adversarial states. Beijing has called for the United States also to adopt a “no first use” nuclear policy and abandon its nuclear umbrella in Asia and Europe.  Americans should not fall into this trap.
