A highway bridge in Shaanxi province, northwest China, collapsed on July 19, resulting in the death of at least eleven people and leaving dozens still missing.
According to Reuters, the accident occurred at 8:40 pm in Shangluo City when a bridge on the highway collapsed, causing several vehicles to fall into the river. The cause is said to be due to flash floods.
Chinese state media reported that by 10 am on July 20, five vehicles had fallen into the water, resulting in 11 deaths, with another 20 cars and 30 people still missing.
