Why Bill Gates is Only Now Optimistic on Reducing Emissions

Microsoft co-founder and climate tech investor Bill Gates says only now is he optimistic about the path of emissions, and he was not optimistic in 2015, when world leaders committed to reducing global emissions to zero by 2050, to prevent global temperatures rising by more than 1.5 degrees. In an interview with Leaders With Lacqua Goes Green, Gates says the level of innovation against emissions is better than expected, and there is now a "theory of change".
