This time, we will introduce 'kamairicha=釜炒り茶,' a traditional Japanese tea from Hongu, Wakayama. Most of the tea-making process is done manually. Her name is Natsumi. Her grandmother used to grow tea in a field located high in the mountains of Mount Hongu, in the remote depths of the Kii Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Having inherited that tradition and history, she is a custodian of the tea-making culture in Hongu.
