We are in Tanzania to do the white flow Kilimanjaro. I'd like to do the fastest
no time. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and to do this project I'd like to start
it's in 5,000 feet and until the running into the summit. The summit is 19,340 feet
and come down to Moeka gate. This is the project for this year and I have great feelings here.
Kilimanjaro mountain is beautiful with African people, it's amazing.
It's a very different mountain. Here you don't have like crevasses, you don't have ice climbing
but on the other way you have lots of rock avalanches. The rocks was huge. I cut my knee
because I was running fast trying to hide over some rocks and yes so this sign tells me that
this mountain is very dangerous. So during my ascent I need to be very careful from the
aero glacier to the summit. This is the hardest and dangerous, the more dangerous part
during this project. During the projects in high mountain I'm not a mountain guide so I need someone
that is a mountain guide to follow me on the summit. So I chose Simon, he's a very good runner
and a very good mountain guide here in Tanzania. So I'd like to share with him this experience
on the summit of Kilimanjaro and I've been two days with him here and he's an amazing guide
and a very good person and they have been sharing a lot about our love for the mountains.
So these three days here in the mountain I've been enjoying a lot the spirit of Kilimanjaro
and also the people, they are amazing. As a Brazilian I love to dance and to sing
and the people as well so it's lovely.
I'd like to start my project at 6 a.m. I hope to be in the summit at 1 p.m.
and arrive in the gate around maybe 4 p.m.
Seven hours.
Seven hours, 18 minutes. It's really tough. The hardest part is the rock avalanche and
also the altitude. It's like you should climb all the rocks to arrive.
Now just to breathe, to calm down. Just a little break because I didn't stop.
I stopped just three minutes to put my jacket so I'm tired.
Tired but happy.
Well done, well done. How was it? 10 hours in six minutes. Wonderful.
It's incredible, incredible to see that we human we can do impossible.
