Dave Darcy, Editor at Large of Australian Adventure Bike Magazine and shooter producer of Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV (MAD TV), took his own 2021 Husqvarna 701 to the 2022 Husky Trek, held in the hinterland to the west of Gympie, Queensland, Australia. The Husky Trek is unique and organised by Husqvarna Motorcycles Australia and the only one of it's kind in the world where only Husqvarna 701s and 901s can participate. The ride caters for a range of rider skills and covers over 2000 kilometres in 5 days. Each day has a number of 'break out' sections for more experienced riders that can be challenging at times. The country traversed during the day is a spectacular mix of fast flowing twin trails, single trails, tracks and dirt roads. There are occasional tar transport sections to get to the next forest. MAD TV will be showcasing a full movie length adventure of the Husky Trek in the coming weeks. This video is about focussing on Dave's bike after the Husky Trek. What worked, what broke, what he'd do different next time. Dave's bike has travelled just over 10,000 kilometres in some of Australia's harshest conditions and trails including the Flinders Ranges and a 7000 kilometre extreme adventure across the tropical top end of Australia from Cairns, nearly to Broome.
