Experimental Archaeology, Roman Cold Weather March

The first Episode of Experimental Archaeology written and hosted by the Midwestern contubernium of Legio XIIII Gemina. This was a 3 mile march in full kit in 19° Fahrenheit temperatures. I followed my march with a visit to the laboratory to breakdown what works and what doesn’t. A follow up episode showing us in full combat gear using the shield strap system will be coming soon.
