After the simultaneous conquest of northern India by the Muslims and of northern china by the Mongols under Genghis khan, the Tibetan Buddhists were forced to turn away from their religious life in india and look towards the mongolians. Since then, many ancient myths of the mongols have been lost and some only exist in fragments. There is one in which a "lama" or "superior one" creates the earth from water using an iron rod. And others in which a god separates the heavens and the earth. But since the complete collection of these stories have been lost over time, I chose a more complete mongol mythology. So let's begin from the beginning.
