How Your Dog Can Become An Assistance Dog And Save Lives

I recently shared my story of battling mental health and how my dog Sully was instrumental in the recovery and the ongoing support he provides me allows me to continue to pursue a happier positive path. I told that story in a documentary called Unconditional. The documentary did well at film festivals and then we launched it here on this channel and the support was immense. Thank you Will, honestly means so much. Beautiful film. And I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for that. But what struck me most that I wasn't prepared for was the clear and desperate need for more dogs in the world like Sully. The amount of people that resonated with the dark place I was in but didn't have the support like I had in Sully or they have a dog but frankly the dog's training and behavior isn't in a place to provide the support they desperately need. This was a problem I couldn't ignore. This was a need I couldn't leave unmet. So I've been hard at work and it is the proudest moment of my life to announce the launch of Unconditional Canines. Unconditional Canines is my service and assistant dog training project that is designed to meet the need of legitimate registered assistance dogs to the people who can have their life changed by a dog's unconditional love and support. Specifically people struggling with mental health and learning difficulties. And we will be doing this in two ways. Firstly and it's worth reminding you all that my mission statement has always been to keep dogs out of shelters and off the euthanasia table and that hasn't changed. So to continue my work with rescue dogs and help with the need of assistance dogs me and my team of industry leading trainers at my canine center will be rescuing suitable dogs from rescue centers around the country and then we will be training them all the way through the three stages of my assistant dog training program and then placing them free of charge to the people in the most need. Secondly we will be offering our train your own assistance dog program. This program will allow you to have your dog assessed for suitability then we will help you train your dog through those same three stages of our program to allow your dog to graduate as an official registered unconditional canine assistance dog. Now the benefits are too long to list in a video like this and the training doesn't simply need to be to assist yourself but we will also be partnering with charities around the country whose beneficiaries would love to access the benefits of an assistance dog and we will be connecting those charities with graduates of our program. So even if you don't need an assistance dog yourself but you would love your dog to become an assistance dog that can go into places with you like hospitals hospices and many other places to help people doing an amazing thing for people in a life-changing unconditional canine for those people.
