Mookie Betts on being "resilient" in game 1 of Mets doubleheader Dodgers Postgame 5/28/24

mookie for most of this game you guys were down 2 to zero but came back and won this one when you think about a team win like this what does it say about this team that you guys have um first we can do it you know obviously we hadn't we've been struggling a little bit lately um but I mean it's just we're res we are resilient I mean we're going to keep fighting you know whether we feel good or not and and showed up uh showed up today late in the game and that uh believe the 10th inning just excuse me ninth inning when it comes to Hudson being on the mound Bases Loaded getting out of that jam did it feel like the momentum just shifted in your guys' favor right then and there yeah uh I think that was huge and then uh you know I was fortunate enough to get a base hit up the middle which kind of helped create a little momentum there and uh Freddy Freddy's Homer um I think kind of seal the deal there um obviously we know they're going to fight back but um you know we finally get some momentum on our side yeah and that hit I mean it was off the first pitch that you saw you were aggressive there was it something that you saw in specific that you liked to get that swing uh no I was honestly just trying to get him over to third you know we've been scrapping for runs so I was really just trying to get him to third uh for show um but fortunately it found a hole and know sometimes uh when you're trying to do other things good things happen all right now this was game one of a double header you ready for game two and just how does the momentum for a win like this how can it carry over into the game two tonight um I don't know that it does I think uh you got to separate the games um but I guess I'll get to go in here and grab me a sandwich and then uh back out here on the field quick snack it's quick snack all all right well good luck tonight thanks and congrats on the win thank you
