I hope everyone's over and accepted the fact that Arsenal did not win the Premier League
trophy for 2023-24. We go again. People can laugh at us but we had a decent season. Obviously
silver where the hunt goes on. Don't shoot the messenger but they say our season was
trophy-less. I'm shameless as you know I might be living up to my YouTube name but we won
the English Super Cup in August against City so don't shoot the messenger but I literally
got silverware pictures. Shameless settings but yeah with the season reaching its climax
and you know we can review the season and go all over that jazz you know that's neither
here nor there. As you would imagine the transfer news, rumours and views and all of those things
are starting to gain traction. So let's go over at this moment in time at the time of
making this vid what is concerning our football club. As usual big up you lot tuned in. Appreciated
for you lot's consistent support on the channel. If you're new here or if you're here all the
time and you haven't subscribed make sure you're subscribing. Smash the like button.
Get those creative juices flowing for me people and make sure you allow me to you know take
in your own talking points really. Leave a comment when the video's done and also when
this is premiering. Check out the rest of the content. Now cynically obviously I think
Arsenal fans were used to this. Not saying we won't spend money. We shattered our transfer
record you know our records fee last season for Declaraz but whenever there's disappointment
or something close to disappointment for Arsenal the next day the rumours start coming out
and it kind of takes away from stuff but allegedly Arsenal line up targets in three positions
as Mikel Arteta giving funds for big transfer plan. Gunners want a new striker, midfielder
and a defender for a fresh title challenge and may also be forced to sign another goalie.
Now I think we need it. I would love two central midfielders but I think it's one this
summer then when Jorginho departs next summer a next one but bring me a central midfielder.
Bring me a striker. Bring me another versatile wide option you know to marry what we've got.
I do think we need one more defensive kind of option as well. Big up Timber because he
looked quite good in his little cameo off the bench against Everton and hopefully you
know his ACL things are over him and he can show his quality because he would have been
in with a shout of Arsenal and Premier League signing of the season in my opinion. Obviously
we need a backup goalie if and when Aaron Ramsdale departs. Again check out the rest
of the other vids but where Ramsdale's concerned the latest rumours have him going to Newcastle.
Apparently they've bidded 15 million quid which we know they're not going to go for
that. Aaron Ramsdale on Twitter said it's news to him. But yeah, Arsenal are ready to
back Mikel Arteta in the transfer market as they bid to go one better in the title race
next season. You'd imagine City are going to sign some big dogs as well. Josh Cronkite
yesterday vowed no one at the club will stand still and Arsenal are already plotting how
to overhaul four-time champions Manchester City next season. The Gunners are ready to
spend again this summer and are targeting a new defender, midfielder and striker. Forward
is a key priority and Arsenal are interested in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesco. Reports
in Germany claim Sesco, who has 14 Bundesliga goals this season, imagine we had that, has
a release clause which has increased to 55 million and expires at the end of June. So
we have just over a month if we wish to get it done like that. Arsenal scored a club record
91 Premier League goals this season, but adding to their attack is seen as key to ending
their 20-year wait for a title. At six foot four, Sesco would offer Arsenal a different
profile forward. Not really because Guy Havertz is around six foot odd, but I get it. And
his form for Leipzig has impressed scouts, but they face competition for the 20-year-old
Slovenian international from Chelsea, Man United and other clubs around Europe. Leipzig
hope they can persuade Sesco to stay in Germany for at least one more season and are said
to be ready to offer him a new contract. Which, you know, if that was any other job,
if you signed for whatever company and you did so well that in a year they want to give
you a new deal, it shows you everything. Neto has long been admired by Arsenal, while the
Gunners are one of several sides interested in an athletic club forward, Nico Williams.
Williams is thought to have a release clause around 43 million, but his wages could prove
a stumbling block to any potential deal. There's rumours he already earns 200 grand a week
at Bilbao. What would he want at Arsenal with the riches in the Premier League?
And all the other clubs. Arsenal also like Isaac. I like Kelly Rowland. It don't mean
I'm going to go on a date, but Newcastle are adamant the Swede is not for sale. The Gunners
also want a new midfielder to play alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. Onana, Guimares
and Martin Zubemendi are among the players who have been watched this season. A new defender
is also desired, ideally one who can play on the left side. And that's actually interesting
because I do think Benjamin White was poor against Everton for the large part and Timber
and Tomi Assi. That can play in both. Benjamin White with his form. You bring in someone
like Hatto, who I'm a big fan of. You know, you've got Curiel who might not get that much
game time, but he's sturdy in that. You've got Gabriel Saliba. We've got some good options
there, man. My first thing would be a versatile guy that can, a bit like Timber and Tomi Assi,
that can play across such. Apparently Hatto is on Arsenal's radar, still only 18. He has
already capped in Ajax and is considered one of the brightest talents in Europe. Arsenal
also likely to need a new goalkeeper, given Aaron Ramsdale is expected to leave in search
for a number one spot after losing his place to David Ryer. Newcastle are the frontrunners
to sign Ramsdale, who knows Eddie Howe from his time at Bournemouth, but he is expected
to receive interest from other Premier League clubs. Arsenal are set to make Ryer's loan
move from Brentford permanent, which will set them back £27m. The Gunners will hope
to sell players this summer to boost their transfer key, although their finances will
be bolstered by reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season. Eddie
Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe, Reece Nelson all face uncertain futures. Lukongatini and Tavares
could leave permanently after spending this season out on loan. Thomas Partey only has
a year left on his contract and is wanted by clubs in Saudi Arabia. Arsenal could have
their result tested over Kyrgios, while Cedric and Mohamed El Dene will leave on freeze.
Kyrgios is an interesting one because he's coming and he's done quite well,
but realistically, if everybody's fit, especially if we bring in another defender,
his game time is going to be limited, you know. Unfortunately for him, you're not getting
anywhere near Gabriel's spot. Left back, there's been injuries and it's been a bit of an open
season, but I think Arteta's had to tailor the inverted role to suit Kyrgios where it's
more like a traditional kind of full-back in which Tommy Asutimba, Zinchenko's frail
defensively, but in all the other aspects, he's good. And for Kyrgios, you know, he's
done well. As I said, he's done very well. I think sometimes fans have overhyped him
and sometimes, like, people have been very harsh. Like, you know, Bernardo Silva got
passed him against Manchester City and people are oohing and aahing. Like, that happens.
But where Kyrgios is concerned, obviously at the turn of the year, he got first team football,
but he's always been linked with a move away. And I'm not saying he should leave. I'm not
saying he should be the first to leave because there's several others that probably need to go.
But if you type in Kyrgios' name, he's still linked with Napoli, with Roma, with all of
these clubs. If we could get our money back in a little profit and we bring in another
defender who, as it said there, could play left back a bit like Kyrgios, then I could
understand why we'd do it. But again, where Eddie Nketiah, Smith Rowe, Nelson Tini, Lokonga,
Tavares, Ramsdale, Nelson, if I haven't said that, so on and so forth, there's probably
futures that need to be decided. Like, the names I said there, they're probably people
that the club are trying to actively move on. Where you've got Thomas Partey, Gabriel
Jesus and Tchenko, I think the club would be open to selling them and have never been
more open to selling them than in previous years. But I don't think the club will force
them out if that makes sense, people. Farewell to El Nene because, you know, he's the last
player that was, you know, a player under Wenger in it. But realistically, we're not
here for sentiment. Him and Cedric, really, if we're talking about winning Premier League
trophies and fighting for such, unfortunately, they're just not levels, if I'm honest with
you. So them two leaving, apparently, you know, Cedric, we've seen some reports he's
on 100k. I don't care what Cedric gets paid or anything, it's nothing to do with me.
But in terms of resources, the more we streamline the squad and save resources, obviously, this
can be put into other areas, people. So we'll have to see. Well, this is annoying because,
you know, we can't read that. But apparently, Timber is confident that Arsenal's best years
under Mikel Arteta are ahead of them. Big him up for that. Oh, OK. I thought it was
behind the paywall. Timber has said, it definitely feels like that. You feel that this team is not
finished yet. It's a good feeling to have and it's a good place to be with these guys.
Obviously, you want to win prizes, you want to win something. So that is the hunger that
will always stay there and also after you win it. But we need to win our first one still
and until that time, we'll be hungry for sure. I had a feeling we deserved this year to win it,
to be fair. I think in a lot of aspects of the game, we were really good this season.
I agree and disagree on many hands. I think the fans deserve it and I'm being very harsh
because you know what, 89 points, you know, and many other positive statistics and record-breaking
statistics deserve it. But do we really? Because after 38 games, the table doesn't tell the truth,
all of the truth, but it doesn't lie. City deserved it. If we deserved it, we have it.
So we need to search internally, people. Nothing is a given, not saying Timber is saying that.
But let's be honest, City are also great. It's always hard, but I think we were close.
Next season, we're going to try again. It felt very good to be back. A bit of a double emotion,
to be honest, because we're not champions. It was really hard being injured. But on the other hand,
it was also nice to see everything up close with those guys. I had a lot of support this year from
the fans, which was really nice. I think everyone knows an ACL injury is not easy. So I'm really
thankful for that. If the coach wants to use me anywhere, I'll play. I cannot wait for next season.
Big him up, people, really and truly. Timber says players are desperate to sign a new deal.
I think you can tell Mikel is great. He has made a lot of players better and he makes a great team.
So I think Arsenal needs him next season as well. Amen. Moving away from that, Josh Cronkite
apparently has spoken. He said, while we are undoubtedly proud of the progress we have made,
I want to be clear that no one at the club will stand still. However, things finish today. We're
all working behind the scenes to move us forward, always forward again. There's so much that we want
to achieve both at home and in Europe. And we are focused on writing some exciting new stories and
chapters that build on the history of Arsenal Football Club. There have been so many stories
and milestones across the season shaped by so many of our players. We have all enjoyed seeing
our summer signings flourish into being Arsenal players. We're delighted that a number of the
players have committed to new contracts to keep the squad together fighting on all fronts. I'm
not sure if we fought on all fronts, but I hear it. We want to continue to forge that winning
mentality that runs so deeply throughout the club, people. Then he said, of course,
it isn't only our men's team who have made great strides this season, winning the Continental Cup
back-to-back and securing European qualification while continuing to be pioneers in the game,
shout out the women's side. We're also proud of our women's team to set three new attendance
records and sell out the Emirates twice is an incredible achievement. And it's also come out
that the Emirates is going to be the primary home of the women's game. So hopefully that game keeps
growing. And there's so much more to come next season with 11 women's games planned for the
Emirates and a season where we'll challenge for major trophies. Once again, our sporting director
will continue to innovate and develop our men's women and academy football. Fair enough. Let's
hope we do that. You'd imagine Mikel Arteta signs a new deal. And apparently this website has said
he has put pen to paper on a new deal. I believe such. I just think all that's missing is an
official announcement. We need to keep Arteta. You know, if there is someone that fits our remit
that can get us over the line and the club wants to say, you know, Arteta, you've done your thing,
but that guy can get us over the line. Great. But while I think same way with the players,
there's definitely things Mikel Arteta needs to improve on. I think he needs to bolster the squad.
I think, you know, we need to be a bit crueler on certain players really,
because I think there's a lot of romance. But I think there's more positives than negatives.
I don't feel he's, I do think with Arsenal fans, there's Arteta sexuals that he can do no wrong.
I do think there's a section of our fan base that will never give him plaudits. And I think
it's in the middle. We've got a young promising player, manager, sorry, a bit like our players
that needs to iron out certain things. And now we're flirting with success after, you know,
back-to-back eight finishes. We're flirting with success. Whatever people say, we're competitive
again. But competitive needs to correlate to winning trophies. Yes, I am proud of many things
we've done this season, but history only remembers the victors. Narratives in history are only ripped
by those who win wars. And we need to win trophies really and truly. You know, you'd imagine I'd love
to win the Champs. That's a pipe dream. I'd love to get one over the line in the Premier League,
but we don't know what the landscape is going to look like next season. But the 42-year-old is
a good manager and is going on to do bigger and better things, people. So big him up.
The articles also said Sesko and Isak are considerable major targets, people. But
apparently the RB Live 6 strike will be priority for Arsenal, owing to Newcastle's asking price
for the Sweden international, people. Sesko has allegedly said something. What has he said? Again,
we've been linked with Gomara, Zubemendi, Hatto, Joshua Zesky, and so on and so forth, people.
What has Sesko said here, people? He said,
happy and thankful for my 18th in RB Live 6. Okay, we got done by the clickbait there.
Romano has said, RB Live 6 have made contact with Benjamin Sesko's agent in recent days to offer a
new lucrative contract. Several top clubs want Sesko this summer, especially from the Premier League.
Sesko, apparently his new offer from his club, from Sesko's club likes it, will be a new contract
and he'll be a key player to stay for one more year. And you'd imagine they would put a release
clause that's going to be even higher. Or if you're livesick and you can see an appreciating
asset, remove the release clause, if I'm honest with you. Apparently he's received two bids from
the Saudi Pro League people. And apparently they're huge financial proposals, but Sesko
has no plans to go to Saudi Arabia. And once again, Premier League clubs are continuing to
push for him. He's been linked with several people. On Bruno Guimaraes, Eddie Howard said,
I don't think it was a wave goodbye. I think Bruno does that. It can be interpreted that
way for those watching. Certainly from my side, I hope it's not. He's integral to what we do.
I'm desperate to keep him. We was once linked with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Everton will let him
leave for 60 million. That's crazy, if I'm completely honest with you. And apparently
they want to sell Onana up first. And I think he had some good cameos against Arsenal in our
last game of the season. I like Onana. What, he's 23, what, he's 22, 23, 24. Technically sweet.
Brings a lot of physicality that we've obviously got some six-foot monsters. He wouldn't be my
first choice and I would like him. If we signed him, great, innit? But he wouldn't be my first
choice. I think we more need the Guimaraes, the Douglas Luiz, the Zouba Mendes. Guys with a bit
more glee on the ball. His technical level is great, but that's not him. If we was to sign
one of those and he comes as well in the squad or someone of his profile, I'm great. As I said at
the start, for me, I would like two midfielders. I think we need an eight and a six. I think
somebody needs to lock down that eight, that partner next to Declan Rice and that trio of
the new guy, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. And there's also been times where you need another
midfielder, if I'm completely honest with you. Again, I'm being harsh, but when you have an open
game like in the North London derby and Jorginho comes on for Declan Rice, that's setting Jorginho
up for failure. We need somebody else in that regards, whether it's someone to play two sixes
or a six off the bench. It can be a younger, considerably cheaper model, but I want to wake
up one day and we've got some genuine long-term options in the middle of the park, people. So,
make of that what you will. I did skip ahead. So, where are we at now? We've gone over that.
We've gone over that. We've gone over that. Big up Destiny Dewey of Rennes. Apparently,
he could be up for sale and they want to sell him for a record fee. Man United and PSG have
been linked with him. Listen, this guy is going to be a star in the future. I don't think Arsenal
will go for him at this moment in time, but if there was, go for him. Probably going to do a
video on him. Arteta has been speaking about Saliba's journey. He said, when he arrived at
the club after his first loan, we wanted to look at him. Our evaluation led us to two conclusions.
Firstly, he wasn't ready to play in the Premier League in the role that we thought he could have.
Most importantly, the environment wasn't good enough for him to develop,
for him to become what we imagined and for him to reach the potential he had.
Then he said, I was 100% convinced that he'd play at Arsenal, but not at that moment in time.
I told him I would not put him in because he wasn't ready. So, he had to prove himself elsewhere.
He was incredible and consistent and he succeeded in managing other problems.
He came back and after one or two training sessions in a new environment,
we knew that from now on he could do it. Since he has proved that brilliantly,
his progression and his consistency are incredible, we are really happy to have him.
So, big him up. I'd say the next step for Saliba is, you've done it for two years now,
do it next year and assert yourself in the French national team as the number one really and truly.
So, I believe with that being said, we've covered everything. Let me
understand you lot's thoughts on Nico Williams, on Onana, on Cesco, on Arteta's signing New Deal,
your thoughts now that the season's done and you've had 24 hours to settle.
Check out the rest of the other vids and on that note, you lot stay blessed, stay safe.
I always tell you lot, I try not to miss anything out people and as I've just finished recording
the previous vid, I've seen this talking point online as well. So, the show must continue.
Arsenal want to sign striker before pre-season as two names top shortlists. Arteta has called
on Arsenal to be more ambitious as the club step up their transfer plans after missing out on the
Premier League title, writes The Independent's Miguel Delaney, who is the chief writer of such.
Arsenal are seeking to sign a prime striker before their pre-season tour,
with Newcastle United's Alexander Izak and Ajax's Brian Broadley top of the list
in order to complete what they hope is a title-winning team. Arteta has long already
started work on plans for next season, as you'd imagine, and wants to bring in three
first-team-level players while moving out three or four. They did already consider purchasing
a striker in January, with that long seen as the final main missing piece. A move for Ivan
was considered, but Brentford's £100m price put Arsenal off, and he has since fallen way
down the list of targets. Izak has been the preferred option, as reported by The Independent,
but there is awareness that Newcastle would likely refuse to sell. The Saudi Arabian-owned
club are already hopeful that the Swedish striker will sign a new deal as they want to build a
project around him. Arsenal do want to at least see if a deal is possible, but do not want to
get drawn into a long saga. Arteta wants to get all business done early, so the squad is immediately
ready to work on the campaign where they are aiming to hit over 90 points. The plans have
already seen in the market as reminiscent of Liverpool around 2018. If Arsenal can't get
Izak, Broadley would be the next most likely option. The 22-year-old Dutch striker has been
a revelation for Ajax this season, with 22 goals in 42 matches, bringing in interest from a series
of major clubs. Now, he is a young striker. He plays for Ajax, and there has to be a correlation
with us going for Timba, allegedly having an interest in Hatto, and obviously Broadley now.
Broadley, since returning to Ajax, has done well, and he's 22, so there's a lot of upside.
I do like him. I think he's aggressive. I think he can score goals. I think, you know, when
strikers want to nudge him in the back and all of that, he's on giving it back. For me though,
I don't see how, at the point of signing for the football club, he takes us to the next level. But
if we did sign him, he's got all my support. I do think, you know, Izak to Broadley is a bit,
I'm not really for it, people. Might as well just sign a strong goal-scoring winger.
Another option on the list is Izak's Swedish compatriot, the 25-year-old Victor Jokeres from
Sporting. Arteta would meanwhile like at least one more left-back as well as another midfielder.
Arteta did say there's only one way to do it. You have to be more determined. You have to be
more ambitious. You have to have a lot of courage and push every limit in everything that we have.
That's the next step. I don't think anybody can disagree with what the manager has said there,
people. So yeah, as I said, sorry to do it over again, but let me know your thoughts on
everything we've discussed, people. On that note, peace.
