Land Rover Problems + Movie Night Camping in a Forest - Switzerland Defender Road Trip (Part 7 of 8)

The gearbox is so cold, I mean everything is cold, but the gearbox is so cold it's not letting me pick the reverse gear, and we need to reverse out of this parking spot. We can pick third and fourth and fifth, oh yeah fifth is nice, but you might have to push, get momentum. Fruity's trying to push us backwards so we can get out of this parking spot. Gone! Okay, gone! Oh my god, it's actually working. Here we go, it worked! Come on, get the past, come on. We're in first. A little morning cardio. Yeah, I haven't even had breakfast yet, and we're off! This morning the reverse gear didn't work, so we had to push it out of the parking spot that Making some funny noises, indicators don't really work, board works, which is good. We made it, we made it, made it here at least, so we're a little bit closer to home. Sun's out, it's nice to relax after hiking for days. That was so fun. We did some amazing hiking up in the Chamonix Valley, and then hung out by Lake Annecy for a couple of nights. and we've got the car all set up, we've got the projector all set up, and it's all, it's all working, but we forgot to download a film, and there's no internet. It's great, I love this film. So we're currently watching, ah yes, Safari Can't Find Us, what a, I think this one's actually an Oscar nominated one. I think it is, yeah. Love that. Yeah, it looks nice, at least we know the whole setup works, because it's the first time trying it, but lesson learned, we should have just downloaded the movie. I guess one of the downsides of sleeping way out in the sticks is that we've been surrounded by a horde of cows. It's so ******* loud. What time is it? We've been here for 45 minutes. Oh my god, I can't. And more of them are emerging from the forest. What are we gonna do? I was having such a good night's sleep for the first time in a long time as well. I know. A distant memory now. I'm actually wide awake. And I really need a wee. Maybe we should just get out now. I'm not going outside. I can't go outside. Leo's got a fear of cows, haven't you Leo? It's like a genuine fear, I'm terrified of cows really. I thought maybe we could like, shoo them away, but Leo wouldn't let me get out. Have you seen the size of them? It's like trying to shoo away a cow. How was your sleep last night? Nice. No worse. I think it was quite nice. Relicting sound of cowbells in the distance. The relaxing sounds of them in the distance and the terrifying sounds of them knocking on your tent door. Yeah we're a bit close, aren't we? Do you feel like we probably slept in their garden? I mean they have a whole forest to go sleep in and walk in and eat in and poop in. They can say the same about us I guess. And I think maybe all the cow parts on the floor should have been a little insight into who owns this land. I'm so excited. Back again so that we can put into first and start the drive. What about that idea? Yeah, what do you think about that Henry? Silly, huh? So we just, well we drove past Ria and we couldn't resist stopping because I mean. So yeah, we're gonna go look around. Maybe they've got some tasters or something. Yeah, exciting. Cheers. Cheers. Is it good? Okay, okay, okay. I'm surprised, I'm surprised. Cute little basket. I want that basket. Look at these lightning balls. How good was that cheese? I'm so full. I'm so full, oh my god. Right, we're off to find our camp spot. Hopefully it's a good one. Freda's gone to go find a log because our ladder doesn't reach the ground. Have you found one? Nice. That might work. Yeah. Going for movie night round two. This time we've got a film downloaded. We've got some chocolate milk brewing. Got the projector screen. Chocolate milk. Got the boys. Now we wait. Now we just wait for it to get dark. We realize we set up our camp so early. Got the popcorn going. Now we just need to wait for it to be dark enough to actually start the movie. A couple of bits. Like as big as your head. Cozy cozy. Here we go.
