"Chant of a Roaming Son" is my third original composition, created in honor of Mother's Day. Inspired by the timeless Tang Dynasty poem by Meng Jiao, this piece captures the deep emotions of wanderers who long for home. For over a thousand years, this poem has been recited and sung, expressing the boundless love of a mother.

The thread in the loving mother’s hand
Weaves garments for her far-off son.
Before he leaves, she stitches with care,
Fearing he may delay his return.
Who says a sprout of grass so small
Can ever repay the warmth of spring?
