"Zi zhu Diao(Purple Bamboo Melody)"is a folk song from the Jiangnan（a geographical region of China）. Its origin can be traced back to the Han folk songs of the the Spring and Autumn(770-476 BC)and Warring States (475-221 BC)periods.
