Hello, guys.
Thanks for tuning in.
Everyone loves a good lip combo,
and I feel like the lip combo is even more thrilling
when it's purely drugstore.
And so I bring you a video just full
of great drugstore lip combos
that I've come up with recently.
You know, you tune into TikTok,
you might get one good lip combo,
and this whole video, you just sit there,
I'm gonna bring you a bunch of lip combos.
Also, it is eclipse day as I shoot this.
I'm really excited because we're in the path of totality.
You know, there's lots of people traveling into our area,
so it's gonna be a really exciting afternoon.
But as far as the rest of my face and what's on there,
I chose to put on my House Labs foundation
and concealer today,
and I think that's looking really good across the skin.
It gives me like a strong medium coverage, I think.
And then I set with my Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder
on the under eye.
I set elsewhere on the face with my Physician's Formula
Butter Believe It Translucent Powder.
This is my bronzer today,
my L'Oreal True Match Lumi Bronzet in the deep shade.
This does have a little bit of shimmer.
Wet and Wild Blush in Naked Brown,
one of their newer shades, I absolutely love it.
And then I pulled out this little guy,
which I hadn't used in a long time from Dior,
and it's their Backstage Glow Face Palette.
And I just use like these top two colors as my highlighter.
For my eyeshadow, I pulled in this Hard Candy Moods Palette.
This I actually prefer over Elf's Cream and Sugar.
I think it's a little bit more balanced.
We have these two mattes, these two shimmers,
and the shade name on this, oh, it's bare.
It's literally imprinted into the shadows.
So I've got this kind of soft golden bronze thing happening.
I thought it would work with probably
any of the lip colors I put on.
And then my mascara today is Neutrogena Healthy Lengths.
And I did do a little brightening liner
in the lower inner rim.
So now the lip combos, they've all been put in my shiny bag.
The first one is my most like classic nude lip combo.
And it kind of centers around a lipstick
that I recently repurchased.
Do you guys remember if you've been watching YouTube
for years and years?
Okay, kitten, in or out?
If you've been watching YouTube for a long time,
you might remember a craze surrounding the shade
Fairest Nude quite a while ago.
And I decided to randomly repurchase that.
We're gonna use some Elf Lip Liner
and then a Lifter Gloss on top.
So the lip liner is this mauve shade
of the Cream Glide Lip Liners.
These from Elf, like they are not
the longest wearing lip liners.
They're $2, so they're kind of an amazing deal.
And I just love the way they go on.
And I really like this particular shade.
But just know that if you're using
a Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner or a Hard Candy Instapout,
you will have better staying power throughout the day.
But I just like this shade.
I think it's very easy to throw on.
So I think the full name is like Mauve Aside,
but they put it on the cap
and it's just really hard to tell.
But this gives us that really nice definition.
And I do, I guess, fill in the whole lips when I use this.
There we go, all filled in with that.
And then we're gonna take our nude lipstick
called Ferris Nude from L'Oreal.
Has that classic L'Oreal color riche scent
that you'll just know forever and ever.
And then I'm gonna pop this on top.
And see where this nude is really coming in now?
Looks really pretty, I think.
But yet we've got a nice sort of fence
around that with the lip liner.
And then I'm gonna pop a little bit of my Lifter Gloss
in the shade Moon on top.
Moon has some nice reflectivity.
It's also a little bit cooler.
It has a little bit of pinky tone in it.
And I think this just looks awesome over the top of this.
It just sets the whole lip combo over the edge.
Is that a great nude lip or is that a great nude lip?
I mean, just the way it pops off once you put this gloss on.
And it's seeming extra shiny,
not just because this is very glossy,
but because the gloss has shimmer in it.
So it's catching the light even more.
And I just love, love, love the tone of this nude lip.
Like it feels very finished, not too light,
not too dark to be calling it nude.
I know some people are like, that's not a nude lip.
And I'll talk about some kind of neutral lip
that I've done that's kind of deeper.
But this I feel is a true nude lip and it's absolutely great.
So again, it's the Mauve shade
of the Elf Cream Glide Lip Liner,
L'Oreal Coloriche Lipstick in Ferris Nude,
and then your Lifter Gloss in the shade Moon.
Just took it off.
If you saw that and you're like,
and I like the vibe of the lip, I like the way it looks,
but I would want it to be maybe a little more pinkier,
a little bit deeper.
I've got another combo here
that really, I love this one so much.
Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner.
We're pulling in the shade Mink.
Okay, a really nice kind of medium pink lip liner.
And we're gonna fill in the whole lips here.
And this is really gonna create some awesome staying power.
If you wanted to pull in Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner
in Nude into that last look, that would be good as well.
I just kind of, for whatever reason,
gotten into that little Elf Lip Liner.
I even bought the shade Baddest Beige,
which has a little less darkness
compared to that one I just used.
I just like the way they go on.
All right, so there's that kind of a pinky berry almost.
Then for the lipstick color,
I'm using my Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 08.
And this is a beautiful, like anyone could wear it,
medium pink.
And I'm just gonna throw this on on top.
Okay, there's that.
I feel like it almost lightened up the look
just a little bit with that color.
And then I'm busting out my Lifter Gloss in the shade Pearl.
And this, we're gonna use kind of sparingly.
I'm gonna take a little bit off on my finger
because I don't wanna get like lipstick all over the wand.
It would really show with this one.
So I'm gonna take some of that gloss.
And oh, the way that pops on the lower lip,
and you can get a little bit on the upper lip too,
but get most of it on that lower lip.
I mean, it's dazzling, it's plump,
it's just the right amount of pink.
I feel like these first two combos,
so, so easy and wearable for every day.
Could you use Moon instead?
Yes, it would just have a little less
of that like popping off impact.
You know what I mean?
And it could also be pretty on top of the nude combo.
To be honest with you, Pearl and Moon
are probably a couple of my most favorite Lifter Glosses.
So there's one more, look at that pink, I love it.
The rest are just little two-parter lip combos, okay?
So this first one, my Rimmel Kind & Free Lipstick here,
it's actually called a Tinted Lip Balm.
It's a really great soft red color.
The shade is Turbo Red
and I love the slim lipstick design of it.
So it reminds me a lot of like both of the reddish shades
from CoverGirl's Clean Fresh Balms,
just kind of put together.
It's not altogether quite as pinky as the Cherry shade,
but it's definitely not as warm as you're the Palm.
It's a combination of the two.
Look how great that is, soft red.
It's not fully opaque, okay?
There's some sheerness there.
And then I thought,
what if we just took the shine up a notch a little bit
and got kind of a coordinating sheer red gloss
and frankly got some use out of this gloss
because I don't use this too often.
This is from e.l.f.
and it's their Glow Reviver Lip Oil.
It's their, I think it's Red Delicious, Red Delicious shade.
And what if we go on top with a little of that, you know?
Just gave it a little extra shine.
It still looks easy and casual,
but suddenly the shine has been way stepped up
and it just makes that Tinted Lip Balm a little more glam.
I would recommend this just as a standalone product, 100%,
but if you want it more shiny, go with that combo.
Now in my favorites video,
I was talking about how much I love this product
from Wet n Wild.
It's called their Soft Blur Matte Lipstick.
And this shade is called I'm Shy.
It would say, I'm shy.
It's just a gorgeous, soft,
like you were born with perfect rosy pigmented lips color.
Like, look at that.
This slightly sweet scent that it has, I also love it.
And I just fill in the lips with all of that.
And I think it looks great.
And it looks blotted and just like super natural.
I hope everybody gets this shade for the spring and summer.
It is great, or any time of year, frankly.
But one thing you will lack a little bit here
is the definition.
So if you're feeling like having a bit more of that,
I found that my Hard Candy Instapout Lip Liner
in the shade Kiss & Tell is actually really, really good
for just giving the shade a little bit more of a border,
like the color actually works.
It doesn't take anything away from the reddish color.
This is like a deep warm neutral.
But look how I can just define my cupid's bow
a little bit more.
Go around the outside just a bit more.
You're adding a touch more depth around the outside
or the appearance of that.
But it just meshes right in with the shade of this lipstick
so well, really surprisingly well.
Like if you went in with a bright pink
or you went in with a red, it would be too much.
But this soft shade, this soft kind of deep and neutral
really provides gorgeous definition for this color
if that's what you're wanting.
So again, a good standalone product,
but I think this makes it even better.
Okay, you want something bright,
you want something that pops a little bit more,
here's something for my coral fans.
This lipstick from Milani is in the shade Crave.
So you know they came out with lipsticks in this packaging.
The matte ones have a gold band right around here,
but I think even before those came out,
they had these shiny ones that are packaged like this.
And so this is the color Crave and it's pretty full color.
It reminds me of a Revlon lip butter.
Remember those?
It's this really pretty hot coral color and I like it
and I kind of find myself going over it
and sort of blending it out, spreading it out,
working it into my lips a little more
because it is so bright and I just go over it like that
and somehow it looks more one with my lips
if I just run over it with my finger.
I'm not sure why that little trick is so effective,
but it is and I think this looks beautiful as is,
but this gloss on top,
this Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine,
this is the color called Pink Sorbet.
It's a little bit corally too and it's kind of milky
and I like what this does to this shade, just watch.
It just softens it up, like look bottom lip to top lip.
Top lip only has the lipstick, bottom lip has this gloss
and it just softens things a little bit from that hot coral
and this gloss is super duper moisturizing too.
See I like that, I really like that combo
and thinking about that as a combo
as opposed to this pure shade on its own
makes me I think a little more likely
to wear a color like this.
It just ever so slightly softens, lightens
and I think that's really fun for spring and summer
and if you're concerned like I don't know
what else to do with a coral lip,
I went with a fairly neutral blush
and just a classic eye look
and I think it's all working together.
Last one here is a little bit brownish,
deeper neutral type of look.
I could see this being a really pretty fall lip combo too
but at the same time on bronzy skin
I think this color scheme works well also.
This is the Superstay Matte Ink Crayon
and the color is called Enjoy the View.
Let's put this on and assess what this color actually is.
I see there's some remaining stain by the way
on my lips from the other stuff.
This is definitely opaque enough to fully go over that.
You don't need to worry about it not showing.
So it's kind of a little terracotta.
There's a little warmth, deepened warm nude
but there's a little red in it too.
Hello, who's excited for the eclipse today?
So there's that top lip done.
Think neutral plus terracotta plus some red maybe
all over the bottom.
These have such good staying power by the way
and when you put them across the lips
it's like they melt down a little bit.
They're so good.
I think there's some coral in this color as well frankly.
It's really pretty.
It's like a mixture of all sorts of shades
but I love the way it looks
with my Butter Tinted Lip Conditioner
from Physicians Formula on top
and this is the Beach Bronze color.
So just watch.
Look how this gave kind of a brownish looking swipe,
a deep tan color across it.
Ooh, see the difference between bottom lip to top?
Yes.
I absolutely love this.
I will stay in this lip combo all day.
I like how this richened things up a little bit.
It gave that brownish glaze.
I also love the way these feel
but we've got that nice pigmented base
from the Super Stay Matte Ink Crayon
and I think that's just a really pretty,
kind of hard to put your finger on lip combo
but brownish, kind of rich, little bit of red in there,
little bit of terracotta, very enjoyable lip combo.
So that wraps up my little lip combo roundup
and if you're sitting here thinking,
Em, enough with the combo idea.
Just give me like one good thing
that could have really good staying power.
I could just use one and done, you know?
Well, think about the Super Stay Vinyl Ink
if you want something that's truly like full pigment,
gives you definition.
Somebody's tapping on my shoulder
but I just need to finish this thought.
It's full color.
It does have some glossy look at the beginning
but it really wears all day long.
I was wearing this a couple days ago,
the shade Lippy, all day wear.
So if you don't wanna have to think about
or touch that lip product again,
think about one of these
and that really takes the whole combo idea out of the mix
but some people don't want a combo
and if those people kept watching this whole video,
I wanna give them a recommendation.
So, yes, Biddy, what's up?
Yes, you can read now.
So thank you, my friends,
for taking time to watch this video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
