Chelsea vs Man City 1-2 - All Goals & Highlights - 2024

I wanted to stay at Manchester City Football Club and I think I was the same and he wasn't getting the opportunities that he... In the absence of that striker that you're talking about and one of them from Conor Gallagher who's getting forward a lot more, Daniel. Yeah, he's getting forward a lot more and he's a new team and he's maybe played on the left and when he's played on the left he seems like he has a little bit more confidence, a bit more freedom. The onus isn't on him to necessarily score every single game. Big game ahead at the Etihad, Manchester City make three changes from their win against Copenhagen in the Champions League. Manuel Ikanji comes in for John Pinto. For Manchester City it's about keeping pace at the top of the table, making sure they're in position that when they play Brentford in the game it's not necessarily looking at who's going to be deeper. Kevin De Bruyne might come deeper to receive the ball at times, but then always try to not get to get in trouble for technical issues. And a team of Jamie Carragher and Rob Hawthorne. Well they've certainly rolled out the welcome mat. And so three months on from the chaos of Stamford Bridge. They're looking to get started early here with Erling Haaland and the lay-up produces the attempt from Alvarez which is off target. You'll see the first time the ball's come into him there and Chelsea trying to get round him. Touch from Fernandes, false Gallagher wide but Walker still has to get there, it was a little behind. Here Sterling trying to wriggle away from... Sterling very wary with Doku around and right to be wary as well. Ended up having to concede the free kick Milo back off the head of Fernandes and Petrovic certainly wasn't stalling coming for that. He is lucky that the... Rodri's there. Made the run through the middle. Sterling he was looking to but the Chelsea. And across for Haaland! Who unusually for him misses the target. You can't believe he's missed. He gets off. Executive Premier League star for Georgia Petrovic that didn't always look like being the case today when... He had to get inside of Kendrick this time and had a sneak into it. Waiting for the run of Gusto. Deep cross from... Caldwell. The counter attack had not really done too much with it. Here's Doku just showing a little too much of that. Conor Gallagher lines it up for Cole Palmer and Ake gets there in the nick of time. Oh great football all round. Let's start with this man. This wasn't great. Ederson taking another chance and coming off worst against... Jackson's through the middle. It is Nicholas Jackson. Ederson's shut out the light. That was for Charlton again. De Bruyne dribbled away from Doku by Palmer and it is a corner. Skewed, Foden back into the mix. By De Zazie. City have a player down. And he's found Erling Haaland. De Bruyne has to start again. And wins a corner. In by De Bruyne towards Hart. Rodger. Spilling by Caicedo. De Bruyne to take. Petrovic through the crowd. Haaland went to ground. Wrestled a little. Palmer. Lofted up here towards Raheem Sterling. De Bruyne, Haaland out. De Bruyne. Alvarez. Stretch them further. It's Jeremy Doku. Missed. Guardiola. De Bruyne bolts. Foden does lift it in. And Colway. Fernandez. No flag here against Raheem Sterling. He showed too much of it today. The goalkeeper. And actually in. Scooped in towards Alvarez. Gallagher. Chelsea. On the turf of former friends. And the champions trail on their own patch. There's a twist in the tale. Well we said that Foden. Phil Foden. Oh it's a brilliant intervention by De Zazie. Who punches the air as if he'd scored. Doku. De Zazie's there. Hakke lifts it in. Haaland is up. De Bruyne whips it in. Oh it's smuggled off the line. Haaland across. Goal. Diaz has a hit at it. And the flag is. Rodri. And Alvarez has. Up at half time. Rebecca Lowe. Tim Howard and Robbie Musto. That they won. And. Most recently of all. At Brentford. They were behind. And they won. And don't forget also. That they have scored in every single. Premier League home game they have played. Since the third. I said it was clumsy. Remember he is on a yellow card. So he needs to. Kevin De Bruyne. Oh it was mighty. Mighty close. Oh he knew it as well. He turned round to the bench. Who. Caught a little bit of it. Doku got more. Jeremy Doku. Foden's down the back. And can't quite get it. De Bruyne. Here goes Walker. He went over. But it was he. At the back of Sterling. Do you know what? That was my. First thought. Was Walker went in the back of Sterling. There wasn't. Foden. Haaland. End to end in a flash. Everything by the finish. Well if you want breakaway football. We've had. Nicholas Jackson. Connor Gallagher. Couldn't quite bring it with him. Well Akanji's. De Bruyne. To Stowe. And Jackson and Sterling had a stab at it. And Chilwell's in there. Bianco Stowe. Doku and Akanji. Anywhere. Foden. The city. Walker galloping outside of him. The ball. Doku. Haaland. As he got across. And Petrovic got across. Well he hasn't got his fans this end of the. Test. Bernardo Silva. Walker. Rodley. Just when you thought it would never. The city. Well the first one was Walker. Into the danger area. My thank you. Thank you.
