Hey guys! Today I'm going to show you how I make my daily smoothie.
This smoothie is packed with lots of vitamins and powerful antioxidants which is great for
clear and glowing skin and healthy beautiful hair.
And despite the color of it, it tastes really nice and it gives me so much energy in the morning so
I want to share this little recipe with you guys.
So let's get started and I'm first going to show you the blender that I have.
The one I'm currently using is called the Magimix and I purchased it here in London
but the one I prefer and would recommend is called the Nutribullet but I haven't been
able to find it here yet. I used the Nutribullet when I lived in New York and it's super powerful.
It'll literally liquefy anything you put in there and it makes the smoothie very smooth.
And blenders like this one that I have and the Nutribullet in particular are also really
great for making other foods like you can make almond milk, you can make soups with them.
So they're just a really great tool to have in your kitchen.
So moving on to the ingredients, one of the main reasons I make my smoothie is so that I can include
raw kale and raw spinach into my diet in a tasty way.
These are two of the most powerful greens. They're also very anti-inflammatory so they're
great if you have problematic skin and of course they're packed with lots of vitamins
and antioxidants which help to pull out those toxins from your body.
Next I'm taking ginger which I peel and just cut into two pieces.
This gives the smoothie such a nice taste. It's one of those
miracle skin foods that really help to clear out your skin.
I'm also going to take a whole lemon which again I've peeled.
And lemon is of course a great source of vitamin C which is essential for collagen production.
So lemons are highly anti-aging. And I'm also going to take an orange
and this gives the smoothie a really nice and natural sweetness.
And I'm also going to add a few frozen berries and frozen banana.
I like using frozen fruit because it gives the smoothie a nice smooth and cold texture.
And whenever you freeze a fruit you're able to preserve more of its vitamins.
Berries are also very high in B vitamins, fiber,
and antioxidants which are all great for your body especially for your skin.
And then lastly as a base for the smoothie I like using coconut water but you could also
use regular water and this is so the ingredients have something liquidy to blend into.
So those are the ingredients I'm going to use and now it's time to start blending.
I'm not too particular on the exact quantities of the ingredients I use.
I definitely say to just experiment and see what you like.
For example I personally love a lot of ginger and a lot of greens.
But if you're just getting into making smoothies I'd say to start off
mostly with fruit and then kind of work your way up to include more greens.
Again this is just a great way to include lots of fresh raw ingredients like spinach and kale
and ginger and a whole lemon into your diet in a way that tastes really good.
And when you're blending ingredients like kale and ginger you want to make sure you're
a very powerful blender that can really do the job.
Otherwise you might either break your blender or end up with a very lumpy drink.
So make sure you're using a good blender for this.
And this usually makes about two to three glasses and I usually have one glass in the morning
and then I'll just put the rest away into the fridge for later in the afternoon.
So that's how I make my morning smoothie.
I hope that you guys found this helpful and maybe try out this recipe.
So important to nourish yourself from the inside out especially when it comes to
healing your skin and making your hair nice and healthy.
And we're really able to do this when we use powerful ingredients like this.
So thank you guys so much for watching.
I hope everyone is having a nice day and I will talk to you guys very very soon.
