We Tried Waterskiing GIANT Waves

Alright guys, crazy video today, really scary video. Plan is to get towed into a massive wave on water skis. No one has ever even water skied before so this could go really bad. Do not fall grandpa, do not fall grandpa. Don't fall grandpa. You guys are doing something that was not meant to be done. And he took a big one on the head. Like a big big wave. I'm cold as f**k and it's really scary looking. It's 6am and we are on the coast. We just pulled up and we're looking out there and it's much much bigger than we thought. And the thing about today is right now it's 20 feet. But the swell is building throughout the day to be double as big by the evening. So like right now it's 20, this evening we don't know. It could be a 40 foot wave coming through which is like Jaws competition size gnarly wave. So these are what was recommended to us. These are jumping water skis. Which is sweet because I think they'll work a lot better. But also is bad because that means we have zero practice on them. We rolled up today and it's like way bigger than we thought it was going to be. We have a local big wave legend coach that we're about to go meet. Who's going to guide us through the day of doing this. We're about to go meet him. Yeah these things look perfect. That's some serious flow. Whitewater is going to be tweaking this thing side to side or forward and back. This is like a f***ing torque wrench on your ankle and your knee. If your foot stays in and you're getting worked by the whitewater, the whitewater, there's a lot of surface area. It feels like we're at summer camp. But summer camp of death. I hope if you're watching this you realize that these are just a bunch of kids actually doing this stuff. I feel like sometimes you might forget that. It seems like a TV show. This is an hour before we have complete carnage out on this crazy water that's only supposed to get bigger. So this is one of those things where you might actually want to go first. I've seen some pretty realistic, ridiculously, really, really huge waves. Definitely the biggest waves I've ever seen in person. And we're going to be going on them on water skis. Not even on a surfboard. Even if we're on a surfboard, that would be the scariest thing I've ever done. We're heading out to see the waves for the first time. Oh, that wave is so good. Oh, my God. That's the best ******* wave ever, dude. It's looking good. It's looking really, really scary, but doable. Sounds like Forrest is going for his first wave, and he's not going to let go. I was getting whipped in on, like, a mega bomb, and I was going too slow, and I let go of the rope, and I was going too slow, and I just slipped back as I was watching it slurp in front of me, and I was like, I'm going to die. I'm going to go over the falls on, like, a 30-foot wave. And then I turned around and swam, and then I dropped off. My review would be that big wave skiing is not my thing. Oh, my God. Biggest spinner. Damn. That was a kegger. Naziray legend. Naziray. I forgot. Naziray legend. This is like the blooper reel at the end of the movie. Damn, I'm kind of scared now because everyone's super amped. I think Ali's super amped, and he's like, okay, let's get him on a big one, and I'm probably the worst to be out here. No, I think that you, I don't really see why we are any better than you at this. It's just balance. That's what you say every time. I guess it is a lot like skiing, and you're the only one who doesn't ski. You got it, though, Grandpa. You're going to do great. You look like a dingus. You're getting ready to go. Okay, all right. Max was like, my 10 years of never water skiing has really hurt me right now. Yeah. I aimed it hard in the last one. I don't have it. I'm a few years away. I'm a few years away from knowing it. And the waves are slower between when they break. But when they do come, I think that they're the biggest they've been all day. So, we're hoping Charlie just gets a freaking crazy big 30-footer with a barrel. And he's right in front of it. It would be crazy to see. But we're not really sure what's going to happen.
