The online dating world has always been fascinating to me and now more than ever, it has mutated the way people interact in real life. I recently posted a poll for my audience asking why people overly edit their photos and the answers might surprise you.
Ep.71
Happy Thursday everyone the week is almost over first and foremost
I should say at the top of the show that I have my Invisalign in today
I decided to keep it in I normally take it off for the podcast, but I'm keeping it in
So if I sound a little funny or I say words a little weird
Please be nice to me
Or don't be nice to me and say cruel things in the comments like some of you guys tend to do tell me how bad
I look and how bad I sound moving on to the question of the day today. It's on my mind
I'm excited to talk about it
I'm excited to hear feedback on what you guys think but are you engaged in online dating?
I'm fascinated by the online dating world
I'm fascinated by the by the psychology of the online dating world and I want to know if you have done it
Are you doing it? No judgment, but I do have a secondary question
Which is that if you are engaged in online dating, do you heavily edit your photos that are on your profile?
I'll tell you why I'm asking that question and my theory about the answer to that question
Also later on in the show, we're gonna discuss this Gwen Stefani debacle. Is it a debacle?
Is she culturally appropriating Japanese people people are really angry at her or are people just being annoying
Hint people just in fact being annoying all that and more today coming up on Hannah sounds
So
I'll start off by coming clean
I have actually never online dated and that's just because when I was of the age where
The online dating apps appeared I would say first started with tinder before it became the hookup app
People were actually using tinder meaningfully
I was in a long-term relationship living with my boyfriend and I've kind of had longer relationships since I've never had a need
To date online doesn't mean I wouldn't I totally understand why people do do it
I think times are changing our culture is changing a lot of stuff happens online and people just find it to be easier
Especially as you get older it makes even more sense to me your lifestyle changes
You're maybe not hitting the bars every Friday Saturday and brunching on Sundays
Kind of want to stay at home more maybe cook at home
And so you don't meet as many people as you would if you were a bit younger all of that makes sense to me
But I'm fascinated by online dating because I do think that it's mutating the human experience and there's no question
It's mutating the human experience. It's changing people
It's changed the way that we think it's very weird
to look at a human being and to read a couple of facts about them and to swipe left or right or to like it or
pass on it and
It's just giving us so many more options and sometimes of course it can just give you analysis paralysis
There is just such a thing as having too many options, you know, I'm talking about and so Savannah my assistant
She has an online dating profile
She sometimes uses it sometimes doesn't sometimes meet people in person
But I told her that I wanted to use her app hinge yesterday
So I went on Savannah's app hinge and I almost want to say I played hinge because it was a bit like a game
It was actually kind of fun
I was looking at these guys and and I was seeing what they said and I was like
Oh, I think you should want to date with him and I would like their profile
I will look at their profile and say mmm. He's kind of giving me Northeast Connecticut vibes
I just don't think it's gonna be a good match for you and your redneck persona
She's like, yeah, he ain't for me. And then I would just I just judged this guy. Maybe he was for her
Maybe they would have been happily ever after
But I was being judgmental because the app encourages you to be judgmental and it is kind of really fun
Also a random fun fact my husband's best friend the guy who was the best man in our wedding
He was actually the number two most liked man on hinge
His profile was the most like me on hinge hinge one year released who all of their top ten profiles that were liked and they
Talked about it in an article of why they thought these profiles were so liked and he was number two
And I was talking to him about the dating world when I saw him in Africa and South Africa a couple of weeks ago
I mean last week rather and
I'm fascinated by the fact that people that are on the apps all say the same thing
They hate the apps right? Oh, I hate the apps
I hate being on the apps like I'm on it because it's a good way to meet people
But people are all together having a pretty miserable experience on the apps and yet they still engage in them
And when you ask the question
The reason why people don't like the apps are different depending on whether or not you are a woman or you are a man
So I think the number one complaint that I got from men
I asked a few of them about the online dating world is that women are just lying about how they look
Which is such a bizarre concept the women are heavily editing their pictures
Putting them on these dating apps and the women don't look like that
So the men say they show up to the date and maybe the woman looked like that 20 years ago or 20 pounds ago
But she looks nothing like that as she's standing in front of him. So you imagine what what was the purpose?
Why did she think she was gonna dupe him?
We pick somebody else's body or you pick your body from when you were in high school and then you said, oh, it's okay
Once uh, once I see him, he'll just go with my personality
Doesn't make sense if I had an online dating app
Yeah
If I was on the online dating apps
I would definitely use a picture in which I looked slightly less attractive than I do in real life
Because I want the guy that says, okay
I like this person to think that I'm gonna look like that and then be pleasantly surprised. I look even better
So why are so many women lying about how they look on these apps?
Why are they pretending they have a different smile a different body?
Maybe they're changing their their skin. Whatever it is the texture of their skin
Maybe they have really bad acne and they give their self themselves perfect skin
Eventually the idea right is that the guy is going to see you
Now the number one complaint that I got from women when I talked about the apps is that a lot of times men will reach
Out to them and they'll say hey start the conversation and then when the woman replies the guys just go cold
Why the heck are guys doing that?
Why are guys reaching out to women making the effort and then never responding to them ever again? That's very weird
So I tried to think about why these two things might be recurring and I asked actually women yesterday online
Why they heavily edit their photos here are some of the responses that we got and then I'm going to tell you the truth
Which is what I think only one person admitted
So this woman said cameras add a few extra pounds and I'm gonna go with maybe if we were still in the 90s
Cameras added a few extra pounds. Sure. I could agree with that when we had Polaroids and tech wasn't really figured out
But I don't think that that still holds now in
2023 I think that that that excuse is not exactly being honest
But thank you for the feedback another woman said I may only edit the lighting or background never the details of me
Okay fair the third person said not photogenic in the control room say people agreed with that. They said yeah, it's true
Some people are just not photogenic
I think if that is honest and there are some people that when they smile and look super parallel and symmetrical and other people where
They don't have a great smile, but actually we seem in person. They're very beautiful
So maybe they're just slightly editing editing it so people don't pass on them because they don't have the best smile
Next person says I don't like a few figures on my face
I'm not sure what she means by that if she maybe she means facial features on her face
Okay still begs the question it is your face
Are you expecting the person that you then meet in person to think?
Oh, okay. Well, it's okay because you edited your nose, but you have an entirely different one
What is the what is the point and the purpose of fooling them until you meet them in person?
I I don't understand that the next person says some people are just not photogenic might actually be better looking in real life
Okay fair
But I think this this last one is the truth and I'm gonna tell you why I believe this to be true
this person says honestly just to impress and because of insecurities if anyone says otherwise they are untruthful and
I think that that really gets to the heart of the issue
I think a lot of women are editing these photos because they don't actually anticipate that
It is going to result in a real-life date
I think a lot of times when people are feeling insecure or they're feeling lonely
the apps give them something to do and like I said
it was fun to look at all of these profiles and if you maybe are a person that you don't think would be first picked
At a bar and you're feeling a little insecure
Well, what better way to sort of boost your your self-confidence then to have a photo?
That's really edited and having a bunch of guys
That are messaging you telling you how beautiful you look or how you look or how they want to take you on a date
Now that if that date never
Materializes then oh well at least you felt like you were first picked at least you felt like men were looking at you
I think that that is the reason that a lot of these women are lying in their photos if they are being honest if they're
Being honest with the reasons that they're essentially lying and advertising something
That isn't real that isn't as it appears in real life. So to speak now on the male side though
I think it's something else
I think for men the way that their mind is processing these apps
Is this a simple numbers game and I think men actually think like this, right? It's just it's a numbers game
So I'm gonna say hey, hey, hey to 40 girls
I rate some of these girls a C some of these girls a B and a small minority of them in a plus
Honestly, I think this is how men think and they're thinking if I throw out and I cast my line
40 times and maybe four of the A's will come back
Then I'll focus and I'll just have a conversation with them
And if none of those A's come back because maybe they're a little insecure then okay, I'll start talking to the B's
But that's why they're throwing out. They're just thinking I'm eventually I'm gonna catch a big enough fish and that is what makes sense
Anyways, this was going through my mind because again, I'm fascinating with the online dating world. I want to hear your stories
I want you guys to write me about some experiences that you've had some dates that have
Materialized and if you are having luck if you even like online dating
my guess is that you don't and this is kind of the ways in which the world has
Promoted an advancement that has actually been a regression, right?
We're regressing we people don't know how to speak to each other
People don't have the confidence to have face-to-face conversations
And so they're comfortable behind the apps people don't have the confidence to address their own insecurities
and so they linger behind the apps and I think that as our
Confidence is shrinking. We're tending to tell the world more lies and perhaps even worse. We are telling ourselves
Lies, we're no longer being honest with ourselves
And that's all I have to say about that
If one of your goals this year is to do business with companies who share your values

All right. Now it's time for some topics to show
So the CDC has released a study not related to kovat and
It turns out that the u.s. Birth rate is continuing decline as nearly half of women under 45
Are childless and
That should surprise no one especially be mostly this podcast as I have been telling women that there is a war on fertility
The government is sponsoring the war on fertility and they have been really since the 1970s
since the rise of birth control pills and then turning hormones into your body and telling women that they shouldn't want to have children and
that they should go to work and
they shouldn't aspire to take care of their husbands or their children or to be the CEOs of their homes all things that are
aspirational and wonderful
Listen to this podcast
I've been telling you that the government is in fact anti family and you should not trust the government least of all with your ovaries
And your fertility, but what do I know? I am NOT the the CD. I am NOT. Dr. Fauci
I'm not I'm not even a doctor. How could I possibly understand the science?
Behind why inserting hormones into your body every single day is somehow healthy
I mean, I don't know maybe because I have common sense. Do you have common sense?
Why would you think that?
Putting hormones into your body every day is a good thing for decades and decades and decades. And of course what this is lending
to are a bunch of women who are having fertility struggles and the good thing about once you have fertility struggles that then you have to
turn to the government to have a child and you need to turn to doctors and
You need to sacrifice your body even more to Big Pharma. What a wonderfully vicious cycle
Anyways about 52% of women according to this study between the ages of 15 to 44 gave birth between
2015 to 2019 which is a drop from the nearly 55% in the prior four-year period
The number of biological fathers in the same age range also dipped from 2015 2019 about 40% of men
Had fathered a child compared to about 44%
during
2011 to
2015 now, of course what runs parallel to the fact that the government is
attacking fertility and has been for decades and
Wants to be able to control birth. I love that by the way, they're not even hiding that one
They call it birth control when I'm like, I need my birth control. It's like the government sometimes they're so in our faces
You know, they're like let's just call it birth control and then tell them that we're not trying to control their births and that actually
We're giving them control. It's like that's not what's happening
But once parallel to this obviously is the Department of Education and the lie of feminism
Anyways before I say more on that subject here is dr
Jordan Peterson discussing this with a guest on his podcast. The guest is Chris Williamson. Take a listen
The first time ever since records began
50.1% of women are childless by 30
So there are more women without children at 30 than there are women with children the first time
Somebody clipped a part of one of my podcasts, I believe it was where I was talking about
What what our society does to 19 year old women or 18 year old women 19 year old women?
We just lie to them all the time. You know, the first lie is
There's nothing more important than your career more or less by definition
That's the first lie. The second lie is there will be nothing more important to you in your life than your career
So that's the second lie and then the third lie is there should be nothing more important in your life than the career career
So that's the third lie. What I've seen is that as women progress towards their
late 30s
now late 20s, there's a psychological transformation and what happens is that they place less emphasis on their career and
Way more emphasis particularly on having a child and that really reaches a crisis point around 29 or 30 for the vast
Majority of women and and their attitude flips and I've seen it very dramatically with many women
Yep, I've been saying that for years, but I'm not a doctor
But dr. Jordan Peterson is a doctor which gives us the permission to say that
Yeah, common sense feminism is a lie feminism is cancerous and it is cancerous to your lifestyle
It is poisonous to your mindset and you don't realize the lie of feminism until you get to we talked about that period in your
Late 20s. I am so honest if you're a younger person listening to my podcast
Younger women in particular do understand them people talk about the biological clock ticking and as this sort of imaginary thing
Something does psychologically and biologically shift inside of women in their late 20s. It just happens
I was shocked by it in my young 20s
I was young and I was wild and I was free and the concept of being a woman like a
Wife and a mother was so far off and then I feel that when I turned 26 suddenly
There was this alarm going off inside of my body that suddenly all I wanted to do was find a mate and have children and begin
That part of my life. It was not taught to me. In fact the exact opposite
It was is what was taught to me
I did not come from a household in which I had a mom that was saying you need to find odds
Nothing like that whatsoever
There was something that took place within me that is natural and is biological that made me aspire to that
and what feminism teaches you is that you can outthink your biology and you can't
right and when it's too late because you've bought into the lies of feminism for too long and suddenly it's too late because the
Biological clock has ticked down to the last minute women go crazy
You know, I once said this on Twitter and I got into trouble
I said when women don't use their eggs, they scramble and that was me being you know, funny
but also trying to make a point that when I see women and
They are and by the way
Let me be clear because I know there are people that listen to this podcast or write in the comments that me and my husband
Never had children and we're perfectly happy. There are exceptions to every rule
You may very well be an exception to the rule that I am talking about, right?
But as a rule when I come across a woman and she has bought into the lies of feminism and she has warded off men
so
Usually you are at least being married allows you to to dig into your nurturing spirit your natural nurturing spirit as a woman
But if you don't do that you buy into feminism and you have no husband you have no kids
Something happens to a woman. I find that these are the craziest people. They're the most radical feminists
They marched in the streets there. They look possessed
There was an anger burning inside of them and all that is by the way, it's not a possession. It's unhappiness
It's actually unhappiness and unhappiness that was actually being taught to you
So I have been very open with the fact that I am anti all of the birth control
I am anti handing over our bodies when we're 13 years old when the gynecologist only goes birth control birth control birth control birth control
I think it's horrific. I think it does women a great disservice. I think it's leading
Obviously to the high infertility rates that we have and it's anti family. So I am anti all of that
Anyways you guys moving on to the next topic
You may have seen this very I think rather strange debate
That has been waged in the press right now a war on Gwen Stefani
And they are likening her to Hilaria Baldwin Ilaria Baldwin who her real name as it turns out is just Hillary
It just gave you a background on that story in case you don't remember
Alec Baldwin is married to Ilaria Baldwin who has been pretending that she is
Spanish literally pretending that she is Spanish pretending that she can sometimes forget English words
it turns out that she's like a rich white girl from Boston who just
Felt spiritually that she wanted to pretend to be Spanish after high school
Which is kind of strange and that is very very bizarre that she's named all of her children a bunch of Spanish names
And that she pretends to have a thick Spanish accent at times
Gwen Stefani on the other hand is not that and people are angry at her because she had an
interview
With allure magazine and they were talking about her Harajuku brand if you remember Gwen Stefani
And she always was surrounded by all these Japanese women in her videos
They were super fun, and it was like Harajuku style
I don't even know what Harajuku was as an American until Gwen Stefani sort of brought brought it
Into I would almost say the the Hollywood purview right so as a kid
You'd like oh, that's so cool, and you were sort of I was learning more about Japan
So she's talking about
How she loved Harajuku how she brought this and in describing
Different elements of what she brings right to the world of like what what is the brand of Gwen Stefani?
She described herself as quote even though. I'm an Italian American
Irish or whatever mutt that I am
That's who I became because those were my people right
I think it was a beautiful time of creativity a time of the ping-pong match between
Harajuku culture and American culture she proclaimed herself later on to be a super fan of Japan and
Basically was giving an answer for why she brought this to the forefront never once did she say that she was Japanese?
She just said that she was a little bit of an Orange County girl a little bit of a Japanese girl a little bit of
An English girl during her chat as she was talking about this brand that she brought to the forefront
Obviously because people love to call everything cultural appropriation
There was this swift backlash
And they were basically saying that what she did was inappropriate and that she's pretending that she is Japanese
Which clearly she didn't as I just read to you
She said that she was a an Italian American an Irish or whatever mutt that she was but she was talking about
the creativity of her brand and what she brought to the forefront during that period and
this
Horrible journalist. This is all this person is wanted attention. They wanted to create a scandal. They wanted to find a scandal in nothing
basically pretended that she showed up and said I am Japanese and that she was crazy and was confused and thought that even though
She was raised in Orange County as a white girl an Italian American that suddenly Gwen Stefani was trying to pretend to be Japanese
and it was not that at all and all the backlash was completely unwarranted and
It is because this is how the left is they they don't look at something and say wow
This person is celebrating someone else's culture. These are the same people that get angry when
When Kim Kardashian has her hair in French braids who cares who cares they say you need to credit your hair to Africans
Would you imagine doing your hair in the morning and crediting it you have to get credit?
I don't I don't know who first did this hairstyle. Maybe it was a Viking
I don't I don't know. You can imagine doing your hair every episode
I say I would first like to credit my hairstyle to this random culture this other left thinks right?
It's completely cancerous. And of course what's so ironic about this is that they're totally fine with men dressing up as women
And saying that they are women and demanding that their licenses be changed and the birth certificates be changed to reflect how I feel on
The inside that they love they love to platform literal and actual insanity
But when someone is actually paying respect and saying I was influenced by this
Amazingly beautiful culture when I was surrounded by these Harajuku girls. It's because when I you know when I went to Japan
I was so inspired by and I wanted to bring this to my audiences
They attack that and and this sort of gets the fact that the left does not want people to come together
Comprehensively, they actually don't want a world of multiculturalism
That's a they they love to say that they want that that they want multiculturalism
They want people to be blended and they don't want people to see races
They don't want that whatsoever because if they did this would be aspirational they would say oh my god, right in
Japan there were Harajuku girls girls like Candace Owens that were growing up had no idea what Harajuku even met and then this
Artist who was so in love with it when she visited the country and understood the culture brought it into one of her music videos
They would applaud that
Instead what they do they rebuke her. They try to turn it into a scandal
They make it seem as if she's trying to pretend that she is Japanese not a girl from the Orange County
And so I just want to say that Gwen Stefani. I know that you are
And I don't know if you're far left. I do know you're a liberal
I think it's been reported that Blake is conservative and you are a liberal and
Maybe you can sort of wake up to the fact that this is sort of the cancerous culture that we're trying to fight
Because as I said, it's not about bringing people together
It's about tearing people apart putting them in specific boxes and telling them that if they even dare step out of that box
They will absolutely chew you and try to ruin your career. All right, so if you follow me on Instagram
We know that I've been waking up at 4 30 a.m
Recently because I'm trying to restart my body clock and I don't know I think that that's the hour where I can do it

Moving on you guys just want to report this because it's a very big deal to me
Personally, it's a it was a personal goal of mine that I had no control over and it seems that it is happening
In-N-Out burger is coming to Tennessee
This little story tidbit is for my Tennesseans
The I love in-N-Out burger this caused a lot of fighting in the control room
Because there's a really bad person who works with me named Skylar who said that he didn't like in-N-Out burger
Skylar is a bad person. Don't listen to him in-N-Out burger is delicious. I say this has an East Coaster
It is by far to me the best fast-food burger that I've ever had
Okay, I kind of agree the fries could be better a little undercooked sometimes
But the burger is phenomenal and of course they have stayed in the West and now they are coming the most East they have ever
Been to Nashville that will have tons of locations by 2026 and I think I'm gonna make Savannah
Wait in line for the first burgers know there's gonna be a very long line
I think that I'm gonna make Savannah wait in line
I'm gonna document the experience of me trying to get an in-N-Out burger. So look out for that guys and
Finally, I wanted to provide an update for all the women that listen to my podcast when I covered the new
Ozempic trend girls are taking some a glutide
It's mimics the semi glutide hormone that comes into your body that makes you not hungry
It tells your body that you are full and so you don't eat anymore
And so they had now have all these different brands Ozempic will go be so many that are coming out and celebrities are
Using this to lose weight and of course women are now using this to lose weight very quickly
A ton of women are that are dropping 50 pounds overnight and claiming that they went for a run and it happened
No, they're all injecting themselves and it's pretty horrific and I've communicated the terrific because it causes cancer
It can cause pancreatitis. It is just not worth it
Just get a a healthy eating habits, of course, there's no such thing as a quick fix
Of course, there is going to be consequences, right?
there's there's no shortcuts in life and
I want to talk about this and give you an update
because I was following a thread on reddit first and foremost of women that went off of Ozempic because they didn't realize they would
Have to inject themselves every day every week for the rest of their lives
I thought I'm gonna lose the weight and then that'll be fine
No, of course, what happens is that you have to keep injecting yourself to keep that weight off
Or they're gonna get a ton of weight back and very quickly that's kind of how it works in your anorexic, too
You're sort of shut down your metabolism so that when you reintroduce food to it
Your body goes crazy. And so a young woman a tik-tok star
named Remy Bader revealed how she gained double the weight back and
grappled with binge eating again after getting off of
Hollywood's trendy new favorite diet the drug that is Ozempic
So I want to let you hear her in her own words describing what that was like for her
We've been talking about Ozempic lately. I know so I've been talking about it
I was on that before it was trending and I just like was like they said I need this, you know
And and then I had I've had a lot of mixed feelings because then once I was you know
if you once later got into the bad binging and went off it and I saw a doctor and they were like
100% because you went on Ozempic because it was making me think I wasn't hungry for so long. I lost some weight
I didn't want to be like obsessed with being on it long term and I was like, I bet the second I go off
I'm gonna get starving again. I did and my binging got so much worse
So then I kind of blamed Ozempic, but I really now see it as like if you it's really like so it doesn't work
When you get off of it, like you have to be on it. So it's I gained double the weight back
There you have it ladies and gentlemen
So if you are interested in injecting yourself making yourself physically ill
Throwing up not wanting to eat but also feeling chronically ill as you go through the week
The bonus being that within a couple of weeks you will drop some weight
But if you don't want to physically make yourself ill every week for the rest of your life and you get off of this pill
You start to eat again
You're going to blow up and also potentially have cancer as all of the lab mice that were given
Ozempic and these hemaglutide were they started they had cancer they had tumors
If you want to run the risk of doing all of that so that you can look skinny in a picture
Go for it
Let me know how it goes. I don't know how people are surprised that they suddenly gain drastic weight after they get off of it
I'm always surprised by people surprised that people are surprised and then I'm surprised at the surprise because
Common sense anymore, of course
It's just we don't live in Harry Potter world everybody there
There's no magic way to lose weight by just injecting yourself once a week. So
I'm just gonna end it there common sense is I guess not that common and that's all I have to say about that
