Together We go

Guys, if you thought we saw a pretty town this morning...
Guys and gals, we have literally just arrived in Tunis and we are at the Renault Eurodrive
Center to pick up our Renault car which we will be driving through the south of France with.
So I've got my insurance, all these other important documents that I need,
and my car key. So let's hop on in, head on out and tell you guys a bit more later.
So I've determined that the first thing we should do after getting off the plane is go
make ourselves smell good. So we've come to essentially the world's perfume capital,
Grasse, where we're gonna try out a bunch of French perfumes. So we're gonna smell so pretty,
so pretty. This one's like all citrusy, but this one...
Oh man, I'm trying to decide which perfumes I want. I really like the vanilla smells,
but these are all like crazy and strawberries or strawberries and caramel. Now that we're
smelling all lovely, let's head into Cairns. It's about a 30 minute or so drive and head down to
the beach. Yeah. We've just picked up our Renault car, who we partnered with to tell you about
their Renault Eurodrive long-term car rental program. It's designed for foreign visitors
like us to travel long term. In the Eurodrive program, you get a brand new car with unlimited
mileage for between three weeks to six months. There are dozens of pickup and drop off spots all
around Europe, and since your insurance covers you in 40 countries, you are good to go when
crossing borders. It's a great option for those looking for that freedom to travel around and
visit all the smaller, harder to reach places and want their own time, which is what we're
gonna be doing in the next few days. So what better way to get rid of jet lag than to lie
on the beach in the sun? That is what I've termed our plan for Kansas this afternoon. It is absolutely
gorgeous here on the French Riviera, so we're gonna take in all of the beautiful hot weather,
the sun, the water here in the French Riviera. Okay, slowly, slowly making my way into the water.
Actually, it's pretty warm. It's been an absolutely perfect day.
Big waves, big waves coming, big waves. Dinner is served. Got myself some salad,
a little bit of cucumber roll. Matt said you got yourself a turkey sandwich
and lots and lots of french fries, which I'm gonna help myself to right now.
Trying to realize how hungry I am because I've never actually had lunch.
Have you ever seen a more Instagrammable little town? This place is gorgeous. Literally everywhere
we go, every alleyway, every doorway, every bench are so pretty. So pretty.
If you thought the town we visited this morning was pretty,
guys, I think we have a winner. I think this one beats it. Wow. I mean, it's like everywhere.
I mean, even the public toilet sign is pretty. Like, that's a toilet sign.
Well, my friends, we are at the last stop of the day. It's the city of Nice. It's where we flew
into and where we're gonna fly out of, but not today. We still have a bit more France and Italy
to continue onwards, but first, we are going to be exploring Nice tonight. As you can see behind
me, it is the harbor and just over there, we have the beaches. We are now at the ground floor of
Nice. We've come down off of the mountain and we are walking through the Promenade du Pilemont.
It is a huge green space that kind of spans, well, wraps around the old town of Nice and it's
really, really pretty. There is a lot of different playgrounds, tons of kids running around,
and it's just a really pretty green space right now.
I just found the coolest water park and very refreshing. It is very refreshing right now.
All right, my friends, so the sun is set and we are now sitting down to eat dinner. So, they found
this kind of plaza slash really big street full of restaurants. There's a bunch of different kinds
all lined up and we picked one that looks really good. They have like a veggie assortment platter
of like Greek slash Lebanese slash Middle Eastern, even though we're in France, but we did order
ourselves some Bordeaux, so that's going to be delicious and I cannot wait for the food to come
because I'm hungry. Oh man, this is like a feast. I am so excited. Oh my gosh, there's so many
little things here. We've got an eggplant dip, some hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, moussaka,
a puff pastry. I don't know what's in this one. Stoked. And that yours looks just amazing,
but with meat. It's really good. That was delicious. I am thoroughly satisfied. Still
working on my wine, but that is the end of today and we will see you guys again back on the road
tomorrow. Morning guys. Oh, it is going to be a splendid morning. We are at the Rothschild
Villa. There's nine different gardens here and it's perched on one of the most beautiful spots
just outside Nice. I wasn't expecting much, but there is a fountain show with classical music
going on right now in the gardens. I totally thought it was going to be like one song.
I think it is several different songs because it's like a whole opera or composition or orchestra.
Now you may be wondering who built this villa. Well, it was Beatrice du Rothschild,
who was a member of the Rothschild banking family. So yes, they were bankers and had a lot of money.
So bankers. Very, very wealthy bankers. Very, very wealthy bankers. I think they just printed
money. I mean, by the looks of it. Next level rich.
