Pro-Palestinian Protesters Block Hollywood Roads Before Oscars, Delay Ceremony

Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked roads leading to the Dolby Theatre outside the Oscars on Sunday, delaying the start of the annual ceremony as traffic came to a standstill.
First blocking Sunset Boulevard then Highland Avenue, demonstrators held signs reading “While you’re watching, bombs are dropping” and “Eyes on Rafah." Some Academy Awards attendees exited their vehicles and shoved past the protesters.
The LAPD cleared Highland by around 3:30 p.m. Pacific but protests continued during the ceremony less than a block away from the theatre at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland.
Police declared an unlawful assembly and threatened arrest.
