(Bundesliga 2023/2024): Highlights RB Leipzig - Gladbach

Henriks with that short pass to Xavi, Aidara, Dani Ormol has a go, pushed away by Nicolas and away to Ormol looking to fend off Reitz, this kept going there, Dani Ormol powers in and oh it's spectacular from Xavi, what a magnificent goal and you can take a bow on the back of that Gladbach looked befuddled, Reitz initially losing his joust, fluency from Leipzig and then a masterpiece of a finish from a special player. The pitch and the referee doesn't stop the game, he lets it go and Ormol obviously winning that tackle, that crucial tackle and then trying to switch the gear up front, very direct, very forward thinking, very quick as well and then if you let Xavi have a free ball here. In the short term as well there was some way to extend that deal, nobody would really complain, Henriks and Openda have made himself available, there's Poulsen trying to keep his balance, dishing it off and oh the shot by Xavi, Nicolas to beat it, had it touched away from him by Orban, here's the counter-attack now for Leipzig, Dani Ormol, Xavi trying to find that pocket of space, controlling the ball and well it didn't quite play on earlier in the game for the injured Lukas Klostermann and here is Zabberschlager, that chip ball, that nicely weighted ball and no defending at all and that is cheeky from Louis Openda but offside, flag raised by Philippe Huvut, well you'll be the judge but by the way it looks like a wafer thin decision, that's a bit of mischief and it's 2-0 to Leipzig Stefan Leina on the pitch, Nathan Goumou likewise and there's the shot by Haidara, low effort, luxury situation for a coach, now Jordan trying to hold it up, did well and Goumou it's as close as we've seen from Gladbach, now that was Xavi in control and then trying that special pass and it's Cesco and Nicolas had to watch it all the way, Schlager, now Xavi, here's David Raum and well put a bit of zip on the header Vinnie Aubin, so Xavi to take it and there's the header by Simakon, will be the man to deliver, taking the third most of any player taking corners in the Bundesliga this season and that was just wide, just narrowly wide with Jordan, comfortable for Leipzig, a goal at each half from two entertaining and extremely effective footballers, Marco Jose gets the victory over his old club
