Trooper's Narrative:

On 2/14/24 at approximately 9:21 p.m., I observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A Pope County Deputy,
Christopher Thomason, attempted to pull it over with its emergency lights activated. I noticed a large gap between the Deputy
and the suspect, and the suspect was not slowing down. While in front of the vehicle, I activated my emergency lights to
attempt to get the suspect to stop. The suspect vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed, and Deputy Thomason said
the suspect was traveling over 100 miles per hour. Due to the large gap between the suspect and the Deputy, I pursued the
vehicle. After pursuing the suspect for approximately two and a half miles the suspect pulled over and surrendered.

The suspect, Nickolas Stanbery, was taken into custody and transported to Pope County Detention Center.

27-50-302(a)(2): RECKLESS DRIVING
27-51-301(a): DRIVING LEFT OF CENTER
5-65-103: DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
27-22-104: NO PROOF OF INSURANCE
5-71-218: OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL
