BREAKING: Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes deal to buy Manchester United minority stake

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s purchase of a 27.7 per cent stake in Manchester United has been completed.

The deal, which will see INEOS take control of football operations at Man Utd, obtained approval last week from the Football Association and the Premier League following the completion of the owners' and directors' test (OADT).

It was announced on Christmas Eve that INEOS chairman Ratcliffe had agreed to buy a stake in the Red Devils in a deal that included investing a further £238m ($300m) into their infrastructure.
