The seven game and beaten run ended in dramatic fashion on Thursday.
Wolves arrive in the capital hoping to return to winning ways for what would be a first double
over Chelsea since 1975, thanks to that early Christmas present in December.
Now this part of West London has often been an unhappy away day.
The Old Gold haven't won here in any competition since 1979
and they haven't won on a Sunday in the last 11 outings on this supposed day of rest.
Add to that that Chelsea have won the last four Premier League games at home.
Mauricio Pochettino's team are just two goals short
of their entire tally for the whole of the last campaign.
Wolves have already passed theirs.
The battle for 10th resumes.
Can Gary's guys make the rise into the top half of the table?
We'll find out in the next 90 minutes.
Nuri compressing pretty high here.
Totti has as well and Neto's going to pounce on a loose ball here and drive on
and into the penalty area.
Still Pedro Neto, saved by the goalkeeper.
Parried out and Caicedo is able to turn and bring the ball away.
I think the angle was just against him a little bit.
He might get another one here as he nicks in.
Lamina into Kunya.
Kunya curling and the goalkeeper flying to his right hand side.
Grabs hold of it at the first attempt.
Yeah, what a start from them.
Over halfway to the captain, Ben Chilwell.
Back infield to Sterling.
As Enzo Fernandez looking through.
Nkunku trying to get there, Jose Sarr.
Bit late.
Nkunku gets past him and Dawson recovers.
I think it'll be, he's going to give us a corner.
Sterling on the left-hand side.
Midway inside the wall is hard.
Here's Caicedo.
Trying to thread it through.
Palmer into the area.
Palmer scores.
Just like that for Chelsea.
All the great work from Wolves.
It's a couple of swift passes and all of a sudden Cole Palmer found himself in far too
much space in the Wolves penalty area.
He still had a bit of work to do but he stroked it home into the far corner.
And it's Chelsea 1, Wolves 0.
Yeah, that's the thing with this Premier League.
You can't switch off with all the good play that Wolves have had in this first 19 minutes.
Gary O'Neill is absolutely fuming.
Now then, Neto and Xhau Gomez have won it back.
Break on again for Wolves.
Xhau Gomez to his left-hand side, to Kunya.
Into the penalty area.
Back onto his right foot.
Shot takes the deflection and it's in.
Wolves are back on level terms.
They were not behind for long.
Won the possession back again.
Xhau Gomez drove forwards.
He had options either side.
He played it to Kunya who got it back onto his stronger right foot.
There's a huge deflection.
A big stroke of fortune.
But nobody with the old goal persuasion cares.
It's Chelsea 1, Wolves 1.
We're back level.
Again, that's come from the pressure from the midfield.
Gomez, I think it was, just winning it.
Then selecting Kunya who just come in on his right side.
Massive deflection.
But again, it's just been positive.
Sterling and Palmer on the edge of the area.
Connor Gallagher runs over the ball.
Chilwell tries to play it short.
Sterling takes it on and smashes it over the top.
Dawson tried to make a run in towards the near post.
And now will drift back as Sarabia delivers it.
Picked up by Kunya onto the roof of the netting.
Just a touch too high.
Leaves it for Lamina who's still wide left.
And back to Totti inside his own half.
To Lamina.
Played across into the centre of the area.
Half to Dawson who's pinged a delightful pass out to the chest of Samedo.
Samedo down the line for Neto.
Neto can drive into the right-hand side of the box.
Low pull back.
And now it's in!
Rayne Ainuri with a touch.
Another big deflection on it.
But Wolves lead at Stamford Bridge.
Pedro Neto's run.
The low ball and Ainuri got something going to help it.
Goldwoods, he'll celebrate.
It's Chelsea 1, Wolves 2.
It's been happening all throughout this first half.
Neto just down this side here.
Getting behind the back line of Chelsea.
Chilwell's just got too many players coming at him.
As I said, Chilwell's usually an attacking, mindy full-back.
But because of the quality from Wolves, and they're isolating him,
it's happening all the time.
Massive deflection there, but good run from Ainuri.
Wolves were superb in that first period.
Here's Pedro Neto.
Chance to capitalise early in the second.
Into the penalty area.
Pedro Neto!
Shot right-footed.
Parried away by the goalkeeper.
Put in by Gomes.
Palmer takes it on though.
Cutting infield and clipping in.
For the run of Chilwell.
Pulls it back.
Sterling strike.
It's wide.
Referee is happy enough.
Pablo Sarabia left-footed.
Five in the wall for Chelsea.
Sarabia goes for goal.
And it ripples the side netting.
And yet the goalkeeper going for it.
Set the side netting.
Wolves still lead.
Can they extend their advantage?
Here they come down the right side.
Pedro Neto driving infield.
Pulling back.
CUNHA!
Mateus Cunha finishes off a brilliant driving run by Pedro Neto.
Wolves have been under the cost for no more.
Two goal advantage now.
Chelsea 1, Wolves 3.
And this is magnificent football from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Can I just mention what a player Neto is.
He's just gone absolutely tearing past Thiago Silva on the outside.
He couldn't stay with him.
Showing his pace.
And he just set it up perfect for Cunha.
Who's on a rich vein of form, isn't he?
Scoring goals.
But a great assist.
Oh, yeah.
He's just left him in his wake, hasn't he?
And he's got the composure just to put it on the plate for him.
He's so explosive.
The way that we've played and the way we've gone.
It's down that right-hand side again.
We've caused Chelsea big problems down this right-hand side.
Azzurri on to Cunha.
It's down.
The Wolves left this time.
Cunha into the penalty area.
Clipping across.
It's Serebrya!
It's just over.
Stuck out his left toe.
Hits it with the laces.
Just couldn't keep it down.
Now with Gallagher.
Chalcoa snapping away.
Gallagher still manages to find Gusto.
Right-hand side.
Delivers his cross deep.
Jackson's headed down.
It's wide of the far post.
That really should have been 3-2.
Here goes Cunha.
Down the left-hand side.
Gusto pulling at him.
And he brings him down.
Is that a penalty?
Yes, it is.
Tim Robinson made up his mind.
Had a long old think about it.
And eventually blew his whistle and pointed to the spot.
Referee making sure everybody is back where they need to be.
Blows his whistle.
Mateus Cunha.
A couple of steps to his left-hand side.
The pause.
Sends the keeper the wrong way.
Mateus Cunha has three.
Wolves have four.
And they're heading for a first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979.
The first Wolves hat-trick in the Premier League for five years.
The first in any competition for four.
Records are tumbling in West London.
Yeah, you never thought he was ever going to miss.
Cunha, the form that he's in.
The way he's playing.
But I think you're going to see another change.
Now, 4-1 up.
What is that?
Eight minutes?
Nine minutes?
Yeah, eight minutes left of the game.
They've totally controlled the game for me.
Straight from that first whistle.
Wolves.
Oh, he's had a great game.
We talk about he didn't score enough goals just recently, doesn't he?
Corner for Chelsea.
Right-footed from the left-hand side.
Inswinger.
Headed down and it's in.
The far post.
Chelsea get one back.
It's giving the home fans a little bit of hope.
Palmer on the turn.
Trying to thread it through.
Oh, it comes back to Gallagher.
What a brilliant block on the floor from Kilman.
Great tackle.
Goodness me.
I'll tell you what, there's one of the Wolves players, I don't know who it was, slid in
and intercepted the ball.
It was a great tackle.
Bruno intercepts Palmer's pass.
Finds Totti.
Forwards to Hugo Bueno.
Bueno trying to play it in behind.
Here comes Belgar.
Mistake from Gilchrist.
Belgar into the penalty area.
Still waiting to get the shot away.
And it's saved by the goalkeeper.
Flying to his left-hand side.
Not really enough power behind it.
Last seconds of the initial 10 that was being added on.
Will be an added time of added time in just a moment.
Corner left-footed from the left-hand side.
Outswinging delivery.
Up go the heads.
It's cleared outside the box.
Belgar can't get there.
Gallagher down.
Gilchrist trying to send it back out towards the right-hand side.
Palmer is offside.
Well played.
That'll be it.
No, it's just offside.
And that's it.
45 years of hurt at Stamford Bridge comes to an end.
Wolves finally end their hoodoo in this part of West London.
Thanks to a hat-trick from Mateus Kunja.
The first any Wolves player has scored since the Europa League campaign of 2020.
The first in the Premier League since Diogo Jota against Leicester in 2019.
A magnificent performance.
There was a goal from Rayne Aitnouri towards the end of the first half in between Kunja's strikes.
Gold Palmer had put Chelsea in front, remember.
But Wolves struck back three minutes later through Mateus Kunja's first goal.
Bit of a deflection, but he won't mind.
Rayne Aitnouri got a bit of a deflection from good work from Pedro Neto.
He won't care either.
It was all Neto's work for the third.
The fullback and Kunja's finish.
And then Kunja won the penalty, picked himself up,
dusted himself down and dispatched it.
Diogo Silva headed home four minutes away from the 90th minute
to give Chelsea a glimmer of hope.
But Wolves have come away with what might go down
as their most impressive victory so far this season.
They have beaten Chelsea by four goals to two.
Gary O'Neill, push forwards by his players.
Puppy in the sky, there he goes again.
One more maybe?
Yeah, there he is.
He's loving it.
The away end's loving it.
The players are loving it.
And so they should.
Yep, rightfully so, rightfully so.
They should enjoy it.
