If you need to climb a wall, just get this and rub it all over your hand.
Wow, look at that. It looks nice.
Well, we're back.
This is officially the entrance to Souk Joutier here.
We got a little bit distracted by the most delicious Klingos there, and our very nice taxi driver.
Mum, do not knock. Mum, do not knock.
I know.
So, on our way here we were wondering if anyone would remember us.
We haven't even made it in the door.
This is just right by the door here of Mohamediyah.
Oh, that is so cool.
Very nice.
That was such a nice welcome back.
That was a nice little welcome back.
Good morning, Gav.
Good morning.
It's actually into the afternoon.
We are in a taxi on the way to the Souk Joutier, which is the market in Mohamediyah.
This was one of our favourite places we visited last year.
We love Mohamediyah.
It was our first real non-touristy experience.
Last year, the amazing girl at the campsite, Hannah, told us about getting a taxi into the Souk
and suggested we go and find some delicious street food called Klingos.
Klingos.
I totally need to work on the pronunciation.
Our driver is actually trying to teach us how to say it properly.
Thank you.
They are amazing. They are like a churros, like a donut.
To get into the market, we have got a shared taxi.
I think it is 10 dirhams per person to get a shared taxi into Mohamediyah.
Our favourite thing to do here is to go to the Souk.
Because this is only the second or third city stop on the north of Morocco,
Last year, it was our first time experiencing a Moroccan Souk like that.
It is like a huge market.
There is everything from vegetables to clothing, shoes,
there is alleyways, there is chickens, there is metal work, there is butcheries,
there is bakeries, patisseries, some street food, tea.
Just everything you could think of.
There is alleyways of mechanics and electronics, clothing, everything.
But it is definitely not touristy.
Anyway, today we can't wait to get back in there.
Hopefully we see some of the people we might have seen last time.
I hope so. I hope we run into some old friends in there.
Anyway, we are in the taxi right now and heading in there.
Are you guys looking forward to some kringos?
Yeah!
Oscar, can you remember that they look like Spanish churros?
Like little circles.
Like fried goodness.
Like fried donuts.
That is exactly right.
Alright guys, we will take you in and show you Mohammediyah and the souk.
Thank you very much.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, thank you.
Thank you, man.
Look, he is giving something.
There we go.
Thank you, sir.
These are the famous kringos.
Tell us how it is.
They are like little donuts with sugar on them.
Like little donuts.
Here it is, guys.
They are so nice. Thank you so much.
So delicious.
Beautifully delicious.
This must have been the place in the first place that they told us about.
Assalamualaikum.
Thank you.
You are welcome.
We are just outside the main entrance to Souk Jutia there.
My day is made.
Thank you.
You are the best.
Wow, these are delicious.
He is calling us around the back.
That is awesome.
Thank you so much.
What have you got there, Harry?
I don't know what it is called but it has got sesame seeds on it.
It is covered in honey.
It is really good.
If you need to climb up a wall,
just get this and rub it all over your hands.
Wow, look at that.
It looks nice.
Happy boys.
I have just heard Sarah say
they are actually called Chabakia.
Those are the Chabakia.
Beautiful.
Wow.
Thank you, Sarah.
Very good.
Well, we are back.
This is officially the entrance to Souk Jutia here.
We got a little bit distracted by the most delicious
Kringles there in our very nice taxi driver.
Mum, do not knock the door.
I know.
So this is the entrance here anyway.
We also want to come back and get some
maybe on the way out.
But for sure, let's go in and see who we can see
and what we can see in the Souk here.
Wow, how is that, Harry?
It is super good.
It has got chocolate and nuts.
We have not even got in the entrance here.
We have not even made it in the door yet.
But we are back with our very awesome guy here.
The patisserie here, the bakery, all these amazing
kinds of sweets, biscuits, everything you could think of here.
And this is right by the entrance to the Souk here.
So it is cool.
Thank you so much.
We come back fast on our way out.
Thank you.
Hello.
Harry, this is where you used to go.
Harry, he has remembered you as well.
Do you know how to get in?
Can you get in here?
So on our way here, we were wondering
if anyone would remember us.
We have not even made it in the door.
This is just right by the door here
of Mohammediyah.
That is so cool.
Very nice.
Oskar, you are there as well.
That is awesome.
New shop owners
right there, look at that.
Morocco.
That was such a nice welcome back.
That was a nice little welcome back.
So this really was our first experience.
Wow, look at all the jellies.
Look at this.
Wow, hello.
Wow, look at this.
Should I get a piece of jelly bean?
Yeah.
I am going to get a piece of jelly bean.
Should I just get one?
Because it is so sticky and sweet.
Hello.
Can I just get one of the jelly beans?
Thank you very much.
Should I get one?
Look how amazing.
Grab it Harry, that is amazing.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Oskar.
Thank you.
I don't know how much that would be.
Harry, that looks
absolutely amazing.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Wow, Oskar.
That is amazing.
Wow, that is good.
So we are five shops in Sarah.
I am so full.
We have had
chingos, dates,
chocolates from the patisserie.
And we just heard that
the one that we call jelly bean, that bright orange one,
they call it
Mershabat.
Mershabat or something.
Someone can help me with the pronunciation
of that.
Hello.
We are back again.
Hang on, I will go up and say.
Oh, so nice.
Here is another
friend of ours.
Peace be upon you.
We are back
again.
We just saw someone else who recognised us.
It was really nice. I think he is from
a spices stall with olives and everything out there.
This is all the fruit and veggies.
This is all the fresh fruit and veggies.
And I like this little cat down here.
He is cute.
You have got to show the cat.
Here is our little mate the cat.
And you can even buy your little bags of charcoal here.
So this is for your tagine.
The cat is silver.
Ok, come on guys, let's go up.
We will take you up and show you up the alley.
Shall we?
There is one man that sounds like a tiny little tea stall there.
What is that thing?
That is a...
So this is all the fabrics.
I am just walking through the market.
I just said to Gavin off camera, but I will say it on camera.
Seeing all these small stalls
and these amazing markets, it reminds me why
we love Morocco so much.
It is always exciting, like every time we step out
people are always asking us why don't we
go to the modern
malls or modern sites and stuff.
But the fact that we love it is just so...
Everywhere we go is exciting because it is so different
from home. Look at this.
Here is a whole other lot of tagine.
Oh wow, look at this.
Like where do I even start?
Wow, that is amazing.
Alright, so this is the street
that your uncle Rick would be interested in.
Yeah.
This is like mechanic street.
And also because we are trying to figure out if we buy a tagine
how we are going to fit it in the van.
So they might sell steel boxes and stuff down here.
I reckon we will see them on a highway stop
where you will see those stalls.
So I am back at my favourite shop here.
I was definitely back at his favourite place.
Look at this, he has got the olives,
chillies, everything else.
Good to see you guys again.
And maybe...
Six?
Oh, look at that. Delivered.
Nice to see you again.
Hello, hello guys.
Peace be upon you.
This is the most amazing shop
with all this delicious
and they are making
all kinds of biscuits
and everything in here.
It is really awesome.
It smells delicious.
Oh, look at this.
Nice.
It is really nice.
Yeah.
Very nice.
These are the awesome friendly butchers here
in Bahama.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He remembers.
Yeah.
Nice.
What is the name of your shop?
Ah, nice.
Very good, guys.
You have seen it here.
Come and buy from here, guys.
So guys, that was a pretty amazing
afternoon at the markets, yeah?
It was awesome.
Oh, it is nice out here in the sunshine.
That was awesome. Everyone is super, super friendly.
Thank you to Mohamedia and everyone here.
We got some vegetables.
We got some drinks. We got
some gringos.
What have you got there, Oscar?
Cheese dust kind of covered nuts.
Right, okay.
So I think we should sign off
and we will
see you on the next day.
Don't forget to like and subscribe.
