All right so in this video I'll be showing you guys me, my brother, and my friend Ray's
skiing progression over two years where I'll be showing you guys how we went from this
to this. Before we start I just want to say that me and my brother had been freestyle skiing the
season before but not much while Ray had been freestyle skiing in the season before. Anyways
our progression starts in the start of October when we made our own setup by using the snow
from the local ice hall. As you can see we were just learning swaps and weren't consistent at all
with them. The next time we met up was at a backcountry jump where Ray was going to do his
second front flip ever. At this point everyone except me had 360s on lock and Ray had no
problems doing this front flip even though he did have a funny fail. We would continue to practice
freestyle skiing after school and on the weekends on DIY jumps. We would even start hitting our first
street spots. All this would help us eventually try our first backflips. So one evening after
school we built a sketchy jump and absolutely sent it. Me and Emil ended up learning a backflip
and the next time we went jumping with Ray he attempted to do the same. We kept on practicing
our backflips and eventually found ourselves in Levi's Ski Park during Easter vacation.
This was the first time we had been to a proper freestyle ski park so we had lots to learn.
I ended up doing my first ever 540 and Ray did his first ever 720 and 900 which is insane.
We also had the biggest jumps we had ever hit. Oh yeah and this ended up happening too.
The last highlights of the season were when we did our first rodeos. Ray doing his first ever
double backflip. I said that I was doing the double. The next season started off similarly
except this time we were way better at railing. We would quickly start getting swaps on lock
then k-fits and we would even start landing some two press tunes. We would even learn lots of new
tricks like these. Everything was going great but then something happened. It was barely snowing
and it would continue to do so for the next months. This meant that we couldn't make jumps
due to the lack of snow. Even though this happened we decided to use this as an opportunity to really
improve our railing skills. So we went to our local railing spot and hit our first ever C rail.
And finally after a long wait it started snowing. We could finally jump again. We went to a new
location, build a kicker and started learning some corks. Yeah try and switch cork five right now.
Three, two, one.
Oh yeah he did it.
The last highlights of the season are from a backcountry jump where Emma learned some crazy
tricks.
