The beauty of ancient Roman civilization was born in the first and second centuries AD and is now re-presented through the Farnese Collection and the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii. The exhibition presents a magnificent array of sculptures, paintings, mosaic frescoes, bronzes and glass objects, a priceless heritage of art history held in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
