(Ligue 1 2023/2024): Highlights PSG - BREST

PSG face Perez in a podium battle at the Parc. Home captain Marquinhos only fit enough for the bench, replaced by compatriot Biraldo, making his Ligue 1 Uber Eats debut. Warren Ziyeh Emery also deputised for Arsha Fakimi at the AFCON with Morocco. The teenager Fed Fatimya who exchanged with Kylian Mbappe. Bradley Parkula then with a brilliant ball. Marco Asensio with a lot to do but he did it with aplomb. This coming on 38 minutes. Perez hand-kept four league clean sheets in a row for the first time since 2010. No fifth though for Eric Hua's capital visitors. The Spaniard's third league goal at first since September and he could have had a double. Brilliant save by Marco Bizot, quick as a flash. The boot stuck out by Rando Colomoani. Beat Bradley Loco to the ball and while Perez claimed for a free kick, the French international wasn't to be denied. 2-0 to the good and under QSI ownership, the Pirates of the team Les Rouges Bleus have played the most in all competitions while maintaining a 100% winning record. And yet when it fell to Amadi Kamara he got a massive slice of luck. Daniel Pereira deflecting pass, Gianluigi Donnarumma and suddenly Les Boistois were dreaming. Wonderful skills. Amadi Kamara poking in with a match in Brittany in the reverse fixture saw PSG throw away a two-goal lead only for Mbappe to strike. This time around Mbappe had the chance to become the fastest to reach the 20 goal mark since Josip Skoblar in 1970-71. Match winner in the reverse fixture off target this time. The match in Brittany was playing on the minds. Kenny Lalla going for a goal. Donnarumma with a comfortable save. Well before anyone at Le Parc could focus attention to the patisserie that this fixture always brings to mind. It was Mathias Pereira-Lage who took the cake on for eight minutes when fellow substitute Martin Satriano broke the defensive line that was scattered and then the game burst open by a brilliant bit of improvisation. The Clermont-Borne, former under-21 Portuguese international leaving loose. Enrique shaking his head and it was worse before the end. Bradley Barcola starting with an assist the night. Running the gauntlet although the replay suggested a card was harsh but once cautioned certainly don't do something stupid. Instead it was to be a first professional sending off for Bradley Barcola. Two cards, two minutes in stoppage time. No winner this time. PSG's lead cut to six points as press move. A point clear of Monaco to go it alone in third place. The Pirates have never qualified for Europe or recording a top flight top half finish since the 1980s. This is truly uncharted territory for the breast faithful.
