Hi snowboarders, JG here at Ski Essentials in Stowe, Vermont and today I'm talking about some
of the white space boards that we had in our 2024 on snow test last spring and today I am talking
about the Sean White Pro model. I'm sure most of you know who Sean White is. He's probably one of
the best snowboarders to ever snowboard. He's a three-time gold medalist at the Olympics with
numerous other, you know, first places and throughout years of competition. Sean White
came out with his board line last year I believe and this is his pro model. This is, you know,
he's really a dedicated half pipe rider. That's where he's winning his Olympic gold medals. He's
also just a freestyle rider. He was doing slope style events and everything else that he could do
with this particular board. One of our testers, Justin, wrote it and he gave a lot of the ratings,
you know, a scale of one to ten. He gave it stability an eight,
quickness and turning a seven and gave it an overall rating of an eight
and it is a directional shaped board. It doesn't look it but it is. The nose is still longer. You
can see how high this nose height is compared to the tail height. The tail length is about this
length. I don't know the exact dimensions but it feels like a twin, looks like a twin. You can
center up your stances if you want to get it centered on the running length and your contact
points so don't worry about that if you really want to ride a centered stance board on a directional
shape like this. Yeah, so I wrote this board and, you know, Sean has a number of different lengths
of this model and there's definitely wide models. This is 162 wide. I believe it comes in at 158 wide
but the normal width boards are on the narrower side which is really good if you can match up
your boot size to that waist width you're dialed in there. The narrower boards, I've always been a
fan of you should ride the narrowest board that you can, not the widest board you can because
every turn will be quicker from, you know, beginning of the day to the end of the day
when the conditions change and, you know, your energy level changes. Having a narrower board
just makes it that much easier to turn and transition from edge to edge and I felt the
board was a little bit on the stiff side and it wasn't as playful as I thought it was going to be.
I think it's like more of a really serious board like if you know what you're doing and know how
to ride and know how to handle a board like this then this could be the board for you. The price
is right at $399 and, yeah, Sean White Space and this is Sean's pro model. He just had an episode
on the bomb hole. I don't know if you caught that. That was pretty cool. He really kind of opened up
and talked about a lot of different things. So, yeah, take a look. If you have any questions,
give us a call here at Ski Essentials.
