It's a repeat of the 2015 final as Australia and Korea Republic go head-to-head in the
Algenoob Stadium.
The Socceroos crashed out at this stage of the competition in its last edition in 2019,
but believe they can go all the way and secure their second title.
Korea Republic were last crowned continental champions back in 1960 and have had to dig
deep to get this far this year, but will have revenge on their minds after losing to Australia
in the final nine years ago.
Graham Arnott makes four changes to the team that comfortably beat Indonesia, with Atkinson,
Metcalfe, Goodwin and Mitchell Duke coming into the starting eleven.
Jürgen Klinsmann introduces three new names to his matchday line-up, as Park Young-woo,
Wang Hee-chan and quarter-final hero Cho Gye-sung all start for the Taeguk Warriors.
Well, Australia have had to soak up quite a bit of pressure here in these opening 20
minutes.
Chance for them coming forward now though.
Goodwin, great shot and then nearly the follow-up for Conor Metcalfe.
Great work by Goodwin to create the space, Metcalfe really should be doing better there.
Korea Republic coming back the other way, it's a great start to this game, lovely through
ball, Harry Suter with some fantastic defending and pressure on Wang Hee-chan there.
Australia starting to really come to life here at the end of this first half, Dink towards
the back post, Goodwin!
We have our breakthrough, Australia have the lead.
Craig Goodwin came off the bench to score against Indonesia and it's a composed volley
to give them the lead here in the Algenoob Stadium.
Goodwin's goal the difference at the break.
That's a good start to this second half from Australia.
Goodwin towards the back post, Boyle once, twice, Duke on the half-volley but can't keep
it down.
Two fantastic stops there from Jo Hyun-woo in between the sticks for Korea Republic.
Not long left here, Irvine through to Jordan Boss, Boss towards the back post and Mitchell
Duke with a free header and an open net, and he's put it wide.
The Warriors piling on the pressure here in stoppage time yet again, Son in a wide position
he's brought down and it's a penalty.
Wang Hee-chan with a chance to level things up in stoppage time and he hammers it into
the top left corner for the fourth time here in Qatar, Korea Republic find a way back in
stoppage time.
So extra tight and possibly penalties still to come here.
Chance to put a ball into the middle, in towards Wang, Lee Kang-in!
Double save from Matty Ryan, the veteran coming up with the goods.
It's Son lining this one up, Son with the free kick, Son with the goal!
Textbook stuff from Son Heung-min and Korea have turned it around and lead 2-1.
What a goal is a nasty challenge from O'Neill.
Referees had a look at it, it's not a yellow but a red and Australia down to 10 men.
Lee Kang-in gets the shot off, Yang Hyun-joon with another, Ryan keeping it out.
Very nearly a third, that would have wrapped things up right then and there.
So it's heartbreak for Australia, they were minutes away from victory but they become
the next victims of yet another sensational comeback from Korea Republic, who simply never
give up and somehow find a way to get the job done.
The Taeguk Warriors go through to face Jordan in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup in Qatar.
