In her first video update of the 2024 legislative session, 25th District Rep. Kelly Chambers discusses the importance of Initiatives 2113 and 2117, which have been certified by the Secretary of State and are now before the Legislature. Initiative 2113 would help police stop criminals by fully restoring their pursuit abilities, and Initiative 2117 would eliminate the carbon tax, which has caused gas prices to skyrocket. Although Republicans are pushing for public hearings on these initiatives, Democrats have refused to entertain the idea. Even so, if no legislative action takes place before the end of the 2024 legislative session, the initiatives will be on the November ballot.
