Now We Have To Pay For Our Rights?!
House Bill 2521 would remove the cap on firearm background check fees and give the Washington State Patrol open-ended authority to charge whatever it decides is “necessary.”
Reps. Jim Walsh and Travis Couture argue that the Second Amendment — and Article I, Section 24 of our state constitution — are not pay-to-play.
The bill is now in the Senate Rules Committee, where it could come up for a vote. You can send a comment to your legislators about House Bill 2521 here: https://app.leg.wa.gov/pbc/bill/2521
