(Premier League 2023/2024): Highlights Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth

It's been quite a positive start. It's a touch by Semenya to Solanke who's scythed down by Willy Bolle. And that's going to be an early card. And plays a 1-2 with Alanga. Heavy challenge by Cook. And now Forrest have worked it forward quickly early down the left-hand side to Chris Wood. Flag stays down. Wood attacking the penalty area. Gets past his man. Shoots the goal at the near post. And it's saved by Neto. Down by his near post. And now Bournemouth look across at the assistant referee on this near side and say was he not offside? It would have been close certainly if it had ended up in a goal. Then VAR would have had a look at it. I think he might just have been looking at it from a very strange angle on a replay. I think he might have been alright actually. And he certainly got past his man well, Chris Wood. Here's Origi. Midway inside the Bournemouth half. He's taking on 2-3 and he sent it through to Alanga. Who turns from the edge of the box and shoots from the goalkeeper. Saves. That's a good chance for Anthony Alanga. And suddenly got goal side of everybody and was well found by Origi. Just inside the penalty area. Centre of the pitch. Turned and hit the shot and Neto dives low down to his right. And makes the save. It remains 0-0. Had to do better. As long as he wasn't offside it would have been very, very close on VAR. But he had to put it in the corner, comfortable save. Comes the free kick from Tavernier towards the back post, where it's volleyed back across the face of goal. And up gets Chris Wood to get his head to it to turn it away for a corner. Good defending from Wood. I don't think everybody else has gone, oh, that's going out far post. Stuck to his task and got into that near post there. Dangerous ball in over the goalkeeper. Abandoned against Luton in those tragic circumstances. Thankfully Tom Lockett has recovered and is out of hospital. Here come Bournemouth again, tucking the ball across the edge of the forest. Penalty area and Solanke at the near post. Turns and fires into the side netting. Very quick break. Knocked back into the penalty area. Low in towards the near post after Watara was well forward. But it was sent in by Tavernier into Solanke's feet. And Solanke, having taken one touch, maybe took him just a little bit too wide. And it's the second yellow card for Willy Bolle. Bolle is sent off. He's been sent off, Willy Bolle here, after 22 minutes of the first half. Forrester down to ten men. Elanga bundled down. Mangala then catches his man late. But Bournemouth are breaking anyway. And this is Watara sending it forward towards Tavernier. Gives it back to Dango Watara, who crosses towards the back post. Semenya arriving and decides a diving head up, which is comfortably saved by Matt Turner. And Yates remains in a sitting position inside the penalty area. And Turner very quickly bowls that ball out so that Yates can get some treatment. Meanwhile, Elanga is back up the other end of the pitch. Up gets Murillo to head the ball away. That'll come out for Smith again. Smith now gives it to Semenya. Oh, clever turn from Semenya to buy himself some space. And his shot curls wide. Good chance for Semenya from the edge of the box in the end after a very clever drop of the shoulder to get away from Chris Wood. And he suddenly had loads of space to pick his spot. And the spot he picked was two yards wide of Matt Turner's right-hand post. And it remains 0-0. And Chris Wood up front. So 4-4-1. And already a couple of substitutions made as Chris Wood wins the ball and slays it off towards Elanga. And Elanga slots it home! Tight right channel just inside the penalty area. Anthony Elanga scores for 10-man forest. Chris Wood with the assist, won it off his man, and then slotted it through in between two defenders for Elanga to run on to. And cool as you like, Elanga side-putts home into the bottom corner and gives the 10 men the lead. Two minutes into the second half, the first goal of the Nudo era of forest is scored by Anthony Elanga. And it puts the 10 men in front. 1-0 forest. Lovely goal. Chris Wood did really, really well. He won it. He won the ball there. And he went on. Headed away by Nico Williams. Comes out once more for Sanessi to cross. And Solanke loops a header in and forest lead has only lasted for three minutes. Sanessi with the cross, Solanke flicked the header on and it loops over Matt Turner and loops inside the back post. And the Bournemouth corner, which is rolled short, returned then to Tavernier, corner of the penalty area. He gives it to Scott. Scott's chip into the box. He's headed by Murillo, but not away. And it's a break for Dominic Solanke to sweep in his second. Bournemouth now in front. And that was not pretty defending from a forest point of view. The opportunity to get the ball clear on a couple of occasions weren't able to do so. And Solanke, I don't think, could quite believe his eyes when the ball just sat there for him about eight yards out and he swept it home. And the ten men, having been in front, have now been pegged back and they trail by two goals to one, Forest. Dominic Solanke with two goals, his tenth and eleventh of the season. And what was Forest 1-0 now is Bournemouth 2-1. He's pulled everybody back into the penalty area, Bournemouth, protecting their 2-1 lead as Gibbs-White takes a corner. Trent End, right wing, high towards the back post, aimed at Wood, he's got it in! With a base of goal! And I think it went in off a defender last. Wood may well claim it. Forest have got an equaliser. Forest have scored from a set-piece for only the second time all season. Gibbs-White with the corner. It went a long way towards the back post for Chris Wood to head it back almost the way it had come. And then I think there's a little touch to take it in on its way past the goalkeeper from a diving defender. But Chris Wood will claim it. And Forest are level. 2-2 the score. The ten men are back on terms with 16 minutes to play. Wood's header, at the back post. And the diving header from Sinisterra is the final touch to take it in to the Bournemouth net. With a crowd of bodies around him, it comes out right wing for Nico Williams to cross. Wood with a glancing header, comes back stick. Here's Gibbs-White to curl one! Oh, it goes! Cleared off the line by Watara. It might have been going just wide, I think, but Watara made sure. Out it goes to the right wing again for Nico Williams. Curls over another cross. And Wood's header is blocked by a defender and goes away for a corner. Oh, great play. Great play. Ball from one side to another. Gibbs-White having a shot. Knocks it to Adam Smith down the right-hand side. Smith with the cross. Keeper Moore with a header. Oh, it's in! And he gets a hand to it, but cannot keep it out. He's palmed it into the roof of the net.
