Five changes for Liverpool to the team that drew with Chelsea 0-0.
Van Dijk is back, he was ill mid-week.
The midfield's got an important role today.
They've got to protect at one end and add some intensity on the other.
That's where maybe Curtis Jones is in the team.
It's a front three with goals.
Mo Salah's got 12 club height from the right-hand side.
And if Cenk Zinchenko goes in narrow,
Salah's the kind of player who can exploit that space.
And Arsenal, the league leaders, Rob.
Just one change for Arsenal from the team that won 4-1.
Rob Holding comes in again for Saliba.
Saliba's not fit enough to start.
That midfielder party, Odegaard and Xhaka,
dominate possession and look to cause Liverpool problems.
And in the wide areas, these are real threats.
Saka and Martinelli, 25 Premier League goals between them.
And Gabriel Jesus gets the start up front there.
The nod ahead of Trossard.
He got a brace last week and will cause Liverpool problems with his movement.
Holding, White, Saka.
First chance to show a clean pair of heels to Robertson.
It's broken here for Martinelli and Robben has shepherded it in.
Arsenal strike first in front of the Kop.
Well, if you just watch the build up of this,
this is what Arsenal do from the wide areas.
They come off the line.
Just watch Saka goes in.
I want it in that space.
And then he can run into the space that has been vacated by Robertson.
The little one, too. A bit of luck.
Martinelli.
Robertson comes in to just sweep up, does his defending job
and just gets something on it.
There's that space that Saka has made for himself.
And he just comes in, he'll claim the goal.
We need a little bit of a closer view of this.
And we're just going to see it now, whether Robertson gets the final touch.
Here he comes.
And it's not, it's Martinelli's goal.
He's got his toe on that and it's a brilliant run from out to in.
Gabriel Martinelli, who scored against Liverpool in October
in less than a minute, has scored inside eight here.
And Mikel Arteta on a ground which has haunted the Gunners in recent history.
Martinelli.
Zinchenko!
And Alisson was plunging.
He got something on it, Alisson.
Didn't look the cleanest strike, but brilliant build up play again from Arsenal.
They're just passing Liverpool to death at the moment.
Their movement, especially in that inside left position
where Zinchenko is just picking the ball up
and then wandering into midfield is absolutely brilliant.
Pekao Saka.
Saka's goal!
Jesus, sweeping in blindside.
Wow, what a goal that would have been.
From one side to the other.
Brilliant ball, long.
And then he just keeps his run going and saying,
do you know what, the far post looks empty.
I think I'll have a go at that.
Saka just picked him out.
And he's not far off.
Four Premier League goals against Liverpool.
Gabriel Jesus, none of them at Anfield.
With a bit of a flea in his ear, Fabinho.
And here is Andy, who's sighted across the face.
Yeah, it's the first time they've been dragged apart, Arsenal.
Just look at Ben White's position, he's a little bit high,
he doesn't see him on the inside, Robertson is onside and he should score.
Great first touch, poor shot for him, got to hit the target there.
Ramsdale's just hoping for something wide, and he gets it.
He started the game brilliantly well already,
Robertson's having a bit of a torrid against him,
he's getting no help from his midfield players.
He's just been left alone.
White gave it away, and what it meant, as well as ball.
And it is a Liverpool free-kick.
And the card's out.
He's not allowed to tackle like that anymore.
Watch his leg come in, and then the second leg comes in from behind.
And that could be a problematic yellow card for a defender this early in the game.
Xhaka, that's beautifully weighted.
Martinelli...
Jesus!
Turn it off!
Feel it, just feel it!
This was to have been a mighty hurdle,
and right now the Gunners are cruising over it.
Well, this shows the class of him,
you don't have to be the biggest player on the pitch to win a header.
He's got two giant centre-halves playing against him,
just look at the position, it's all about that.
This ball...
He's onside, Martinelli, and now he's a danger.
Just look at Jesus' position, in between.
He just pulls off Van Dijk.
Robertson has a little look, but it's too late.
Kennate's out of position, Van Dijk looking at the ball,
you can't do that, his body shape is all wrong.
Jesus is looking at his number four.
He knows he's in heaven, then he just rises above it.
Doesn't have to do an awful lot.
And Alisson's no chance, this game has been turned on its head.
Arsenal's long-absent number nine has risen again to a big occasion.
He was skipping around Van Dijk who chipped him,
and he will see a yellow card.
Can this team play any better?
Defensively at the moment they're doing everything right.
And then on the break they're absolutely lightning.
They've got time on the ball, they're picking any pass they want.
Liverpool are off the pace, you don't see that very often.
Xhaka.
It was a smashing goal, it wasn't for white.
Kennate stepped in.
Alexander-Arnold and Xhaka are going chest-to-chest, locking horns.
And the ball had nothing to do with it.
Yeah, Xhaka just continued his run and caught Alexander-Arnold
after the ball had gone, a little bit of petulance,
and you didn't see the funny side of that.
And retaliated.
There's absolutely no need to get involved in anything like that.
Granit Xhaka, just walk away, you don't need to do anything,
you don't need to go back and stand in his face.
2-0 up, you're going for the league title.
The last thing you want to do is get suspended,
he's got to book him now, and now he's got to be careful.
He's got to be careful there, he's used his elbow,
he's a very lucky boy.
VAR just confirming a caution, but any more with that elbow,
Alexander-Arnold goes down and he's off.
He says, all checked and cleared,
but that could have got a whole lot uglier than it was.
Schotter, get poke, Curtis Jones,
and Schotter, and Henderson!
Liverpool are not...
Well, they get a little extra man on this left-hand side,
Curtis Jones gets the ball,
and he needs a little bit of help, he gets it.
Great little flick.
And as the ball gets pulled back,
it just goes to that far post,
and Gabriel, you've got to know he's coming in,
he's had one little look there,
and just gets caught on his heels.
The pullback from Schotter is decent,
it's just a poke from Henderson,
and Gabriel thinks he's got it, he hasn't.
That man will always come from that far side,
and block everything in.
Out came Partey, Henderson, Salah,
Alexander-Arnold, Schotter,
parried by Ramsdale, Henderson high!
Well, I can tell you one person who wants half-time,
that's Arteta, because the pressure's building.
Great ball to the far post from Alexander-Arnold,
and he just can't keep it down Henderson,
he's running right onto it.
It's a difficult one.
Gabriel's competing,
Schotter's gone over, amid Arsenal fury.
Well, it just falls on the ground,
and Schotter gets in front,
and it's just the back of the heel.
Just see it here, just locked his right heel,
kicks the back of his heel.
It's a foul, it's a soft one,
but you get any contact like that,
it's a tangle of feet almost,
he thinks he can get the ball, Rob Holding,
and Schotter's ahead of him,
and that's the key.
See Arteta's dismay,
see Liverpool's uplift,
feel the tight turn.
Well, it won't get turned around, that's for sure.
Look at that, I see the contact,
the foot, the back of the Achilles.
It's a yellow card for Ramsdale for something.
Mo Salah!
Wow.
Well, is it a penalty that's saved by Ramsdale,
is it a brilliant save,
or there's one that misses the goal completely?
We've just seen the second.
It was a bizarre thing,
he hit the back of the stanchion,
holding the net up, that's what confused us,
because it seemed to go in,
inside the post, but it was outside.
That's a massive miss.
Having missed one at Bournemouth
just a week or two ago,
he has rolled it wide,
and that, for Arsenal,
is a huge reprieve.
Robertson's cross,
holding away to Mo Salah!
Ramsdale thrust himself across.
This is the save from Ramsdale,
gets it out of his feet,
Salah, and he's bending it in that top corner,
not quite enough bend on it.
You can see it from this angle,
he can go for a little bit more of the corner.
Goes round the head of Gabriel
and sees it quite late.
Back to Van Dijk,
welcomed in by Firmino, lovely touch,
Salah, here it is,
and Ramsdale has a massive save.
Robertson, Gakpo,
Robertson,
out by Gabriel,
back by Salah, side netting.
What a save.
Kivio goes into the first challenge,
completely missed it.
Just watch this, he goes into that one there,
misses it, Salah, great ball,
Nunes, time, can't get it out of his feet
with his first touch.
That's his mistake, Ramsdale knows that.
As soon as he can get close to him,
he knows he can go down.
Brilliant left-hand save.
In by Robertson,
out by Holding, came down for Salah.
Here's Henderson.
Alexander-Arnold away from
Sinchenko.
Think of what it means,
think of what it means to the Kop.
What it could
signify for Manchester City.
Cannot get beat here,
Sinchenko cannot dive in.
What is he doing?
It's a brilliant little flick to the far post.
And that
is a brilliant header.
It's past him,
but he just almost reaches
his neck a little bit further.
Absolutely superb.
Sinchenko just holds him up.
He nutmegs him.
It's a brilliant ball from Alexander-Arnold,
but that is an amazing header.
The title race
is blown apart.
Martinelli kept it from Canarte,
through goes Chini.
Well, he doesn't know it.
But a little touch inside to Martinelli,
and the goalscorer
probably would win the game.
Chini's flashed it past
that far post.
Salah. Alexander-Arnold!
Well, if anyone can, he can.
And he was waiting for it.
Out of his feet.
Lovely strike, just a little bit too much
underneath it.
Ramsdell knew it was over.
And again, another
four and a half minutes, four minutes.
Not over yet. There could be another
couple of chances yet.
Robertson. Salah!
And the world held its breath.
Wow.
Just look at him. He's a poacher.
Right on the last line. Can I just sneak
in behind somebody?
Probably, probably would have been...
Chini had all of his shirt as well.
Probably would have been
just offside. There's a little arm on him.
And he's just shinned it over.
Thiago. Sweet.
Alexander-Arnold.
Mo Salah! A fingertip
worth the world.
Well, that is world class.
What's this? Not only going
in the corner, but then a deflection
off Gabriel's backside.
What a save that is.
Fingertips.
75 seconds to play.
Alexander-Arnold.
Nunez.
Canarsie. Salah.
That'll be checked. Arsenal will
counter. Trossard's on his way.
Martinelli. Look at Saka through the middle.
He's found Makaio Saka.
And Alisson's out to meet him.
Nunez still has eyes for forward
movement.
And there are 10 seconds to play.
And it's Trossard who's caught by Thiago.
And it's clouted out by Saka.
What a save that is.
It's even better than the one before.
And breathe.
Wow.
Wow, this is gripping.
What a tale to tell.
And as for clarity
around the title race, well, this is
as clear as mud.
Mo Salah helped drag it back for
Liverpool. Roberto Firmino
got them a point that they
should prize. But there
are bodies prone all over
the Anfield playing surface.
Because there are two mighty
teams here who have given
everything and left nothing
behind. Canate might have won
it with more or less the last touch
of the game. But Ramsdales
was the last touch of the game.
And he earned a point for
Arsenal, which might very well
still be priceless.
They are six points clear with
eight to play. And boy,
Rebecca, you guess. Let us all guess
what on earth will happen next
in this crazy title race.
