Most Underrated National Park in WINTER: Emerald Lake Lodge, Natural Bridge, Wapta Falls

Together We go

Welcome to a west coast snowstorm. My mom is a queen and driving us from Kelowna to Yoho National
Park where we're going to be staying at Emerald Lake Lodge. We left a day early before our
reservation so we're going to be crashing in a Golden Motel because we have a special hike
1.8 kilometers until we get to the trailhead. So this is usually a road but obviously it's
closed right now in the winter. I just have crampons right now. The adventure has snowshoes.
We got our hot paws. Let's do this.
Oh my god. What? My phone. I don't have my phone. Really? Where would it be? In the car.
Okay let's go back. You keep going. I'll catch up to you.
But then I'll lose my snowplow.
Good job.
This is the second lookout. There is a chain link fence and then we have
the waterfall. We need to get down there though. Thankfully we had been to this waterfall in the
summer and I actually have a YouTube video that I'll link so we knew what the ground was going to
be like except the path was a lot harder to get there this time. Let's chase after her waist.
All right. Snow out to the waist. Here we go. Switch back. Okay. There's a huge dirt hill in
front of this waterfall and beautiful mountains behind them but this time it looks a little bit
different. Still beautiful though. Now right over this is where you should see mountains.
It's a bit overcast today. We got some flowing water.
With snowbanks up to the rooftops, no wi-fi, wood-burning fireplaces in each lodge,
this place is truly magical in the winter. With that said, thank you guys so much for watching.
I'll be posting weekly videos of my dog and I camping and backpacking in the mountains
and it would mean so much to us if you subscribed. See you later.
