(Premier League 2023/2024): Highlights Brentford - Luton

A warm welcome to both teams, despite the freezing conditions in West London at the GTEC Community Stadium. Nearly 103 years to the day since these sides first met, Brentford and Luton square off again. From League Two to the Premier League, it's been a tale of determination and drive for both clubs who now stand tall amongst the elite. Godos, Mopey and Jan Elk short. Jan Elk giving it, now Godos, who tries to open up and just dinks it back to Bermot. Now Jan Elk, big deflection and just wide of the near post. Yarmuljuk heavily involved again. Taken quickly towards Brian Bermot, cuts inside, skips away from two Luton bodies and lashes it high and wide. Pinnock, there's Brian Bermot. It's going to shoot, only a few inches wide and it's taken a deflection and it'll be a Brentford corner. Wissup, shoots from distance, spilled by Kaminski but gobbled up at the second attempt. Gives it to his captain, Christian Norgaard. Ben Mee to Vitaly Jan Elk, who tries to lash one in low and inventive clearance by Gabe Osho. Brilliant skill from Tahith Chong, who's fouled but ignored by the referee. Wissup, big deflection and Neil Maupay has tucked it in from close range. Real scrappy goal for Luton TNC, Chong does really well, Bermot's delivery. It's a free header, big deflection and Ben Mee has nodded Brentford into a 2-0 lead. Caboret, Osho and Bell, now Barclay. Skips away from Norgaard, brilliantly Ross Barclay. Turned on the engine, it's a lovely slide ball in towards Jacob Brown and it finds Jacob Brown. Jacob Brown, 2-2 off the bench for Jacob Brown. 76 minutes played here at the GTEC and Luton TNC are back amongst it. Exquisite play from Ross Barclay, skips away from Christian Norgaard. Fires a perfectly weighted slide ball into Jacob Brown. Looked like Jan Elk had got there but Brown's endeavour keeps running, keeps working. Throw in by the Brentford skipper. Lashed away by Jacob Brown. Chong and Adebayo, the two highest Luton players, will chase Mark Fleckendown who immediately returns it back to the danger area for Brentford. No foul on Jacob Brown and now Lewis Potto darts inside. Keane Lewis Potter still going. What a block that is from Gabe Osho but it's not fully clear. Baptiste bobbing and weaving. Clarke back to Giles. Baptiste tries to run around Gabe Osho. None doing. Barclay crowded out a little bit, still falling to Ross Barclay. Can he get a shot away? Instead he gives it to Townsend. Stands out towards the far post and is headed in by Tahith Chong. The flag's up for Ross Side. VAR will check it of course. But Leinsman immediately had his flag up. Brilliant patience once again from Ross Barclay. It's a lovely delivery in from Andros Townsend. And Tahith Chong is just, just offside. Agonisingly close. But he is offside and it will be a Brentford free kick.
