Hey guys, welcome back to this awesome channel.
I am Jillian Barry and this is my daughter,
my beautiful type of Meg.
And today we're gonna show you my top five raw vegan meals
that I currently eat every single week.
These are amazing.
If you guys watch my channel,
you know that nothing has truly changed my life more
than eating raw living foods, fruits, vegetables,
nuts and seeds literally reverse all of my health problems.
Gives me so much energy, right Meg?
Yeah.
Morning till night.
And not only me, this lifestyle has changed so many others
that I've featured on this channel as well.
Look at Lou Corona, 72 years old,
can do a seven minute plank.
Look at Chef Babette, 72 years old.
The woman is freaking incredible.
And look at Karen Calabrese, 77, just opened a restaurant.
These people are icons.
That this lifestyle can totally change your life.
So let's get right into the meals.
And I'm gonna be trying all of them.
This first recipe has literally changed my life.
If you guys watch my channel,
you know that I went to interview Lou Corona in LA
this past summer and he introduced me to this in person.
The Lemon Ginger Blast.
So if you do watch my channel,
this recipe has been featured before.
And the next four recipes that you're gonna see after this
have not, and they're all incredible.
So this is the only one you might know.
But this juice is amazing.
It is anti-aging.
It is great if you have a cold or flu.
It is incredible.
And I drink it every day
and I've noticed huge life-changing results.
So we're gonna show you guys this
and maybe you'll try it too.
So this one is one whole bunch of cilantro.
And oh my God, I have to let you guys know,
there's a huge sale happening right now with Nama.
I love my Nama.
This is the C2.
So this is juicing.
And look, you guys, it does blending as well.
So I make everything in this.
All my dips, dressings, sauces, ice creams,
everything, it's amazing.
So Nama never has sales.
They're having their Black Friday sale right now.
So it's only on for a couple of days.
And you can save $80 on any of their juicers.
So if you want the Nama J2, just the juicer too.
It's amazing.
I cannot recommend them enough.
Life-changing.
So that is on and that is really huge news.
And we're gonna put in one whole bunch of parsley.
Look at that parsley.
Does it look amazing?
I don't-
Let's like go peek, peek, peek.
Looks, smell it.
Oh my gosh.
Detox is heavy metals.
It is so healthy.
The greens-
Fresh like when it rains.
Right?
They just give you life, these greens.
They just make your cells feel amazing.
Oxygenated, invigorated, and incredible.
It truly changes your life, you guys.
So we're gonna start loading with the greens.
And we're gonna add two handfuls of spinach.
We're gonna add one small handful of mint.
Delicious, you guys.
Right?
Freaking delicious, May.
Yeah.
So we're gonna add three inches of ginger,
three inches of turmeric.
You wanna add both of those?
I don't wanna get turmeric on me.
No, you have turmeric stain.
So be careful, you guys.
Here, do you want me to do it?
May's not raw vegan.
It's just FYI, but she's great.
And we'll put one lemon, one large cucumber.
And half a habanero pepper.
One whole bunch of celery.
And a whole apple.
Two apples.
Or two apples.
And then, so that's the whole recipe for that.
It just has a kick, you guys.
And it truly makes you feel amazing.
If there's any juice I can recommend you add into your day,
it would be this lemon ginger blast.
And Lou has been drinking this, I think, for about 51 years.
I know he's been raw vegan for 51 years.
He looks incredible.
On my Instagram all the time, people are like,
I don't believe he's 51.
You're lying, he's 32.
Or 72, sorry, he's 72.
People don't believe it because he looks so amazing.
And he's been living this lifestyle for 51 years.
So this juice has been his go-to
and this has become my go-to.
I drink it every day now and I can't recommend it enough.
And people say to me, like, why not just eat it?
Why juice it or why blend it?
Why not just eat it?
And I have an expert coming on, Abby,
to talk about this topic, juicing and blending.
And she's great.
She says, I think we're supposed to chew our food
like 50 times, like to the consistency of baby food
before we swallow.
Many of us are just rushing through, eating fast,
big chunks of food going down, causing digestive problems.
And this is like basically pre-digested
and it feels so good.
Go with how you feel.
When I drink this, nothing makes me feel better.
So I'm gonna cut this.
I'm making a real mess right now, you guys.
It's just about it sometimes.
Look how much juice we got out of that.
So much juice.
And one thing with this, you can do so much batch juicing
and you can just put your stuff in and go.
So sure, I'm gonna cut it with some water
because with the habanero pepper, it is pretty intense.
Yeah, guys.
And you guys, the video I was talking about with Abby,
where she's like the nutritionist expert
talking about juicing and blending, subscribe.
So you guys don't miss that.
She's amazing.
And I'm an affiliate with Nama, which you guys know.
If you wanna get one, use my code.
I'll put it down below for the Black Friday, Jillian80.
If the Black Friday's over,
you can still save $55 on a Nama
or still save more on this one.
I'll put the code down below.
But what I was gonna say is Nama puts on these talks.
They're such a good, genuine, amazing company.
So that's how I first met Abby.
They hire these people,
these amazing people to put on talks for us affiliates.
And we learned so much.
So it's great.
That's how I met Abby.
And look at these juices.
My friend Ashley's here.
She did my braids, guys.
Look how talented she is.
Look at these braids.
Look at mine.
I wish I could braid my hair like this.
Like, she's so good.
And she's just more than doing braids.
She's an amazing person.
So she's gonna try this.
Let's see her reaction to the green juice.
Cheers, guys.
Cheers.
Oh, it's not too spicy.
I watered it down quite a bit.
It's not too spicy.
Well, that's really spicy.
What are you talking about?
I think I've said in another video,
she's tested this before.
Don't let her reaction bother you.
Like, or like not bother you.
But it's so healthy.
It's so good, you guys.
So in the mornings and through to the afternoon,
I like to have juices and smoothies.
So that's why you guys might be like five meals.
Why are we seeing a juice and smoothie?
But those typically make up my meals in the mornings
and like sometimes through lunchtime.
Cause that's how I feel my best.
So they truly can be meal replacements.
And these are great.
So this is a brand new recipe.
This is my current favorite green smoothie.
It's super simple.
It's only five ingredients.
So we're gonna load our blender first with some cashew milk
and I'll try put the full recipes down below if I can.
And then we're gonna do two to three fresh bananas.
And I wanna let you guys know
something huge is going on right now.
And it's called the Plant-Based Bundle.
And I'm actually part of this.
My brand new ebook, Easy Raw Vegan Recipes
with over a hundred of my recipes,
my go-to recipes the last seven years,
juices, smoothies, salads, raw vegan lunches,
dinners, desserts, plant-based milks, everything.
It's so amazing, you guys.
I'm so proud of it.
It's part of the Plant-Based Bundle, which is on now.
It's $50 and you get over 130 ebooks, courses, guides,
everything for plant-based, vegan, or raw vegan.
And the value is over $3,500 US
and it's on for 10 days only.
So grab it, support your girl.
You'll love it.
It's such a great package, such a good value.
And like I was saying,
I make most of the recipes in the C tier, which is great.
So we did cashew milk.
You could use almond milk too, if you wanted.
We did two to three fresh bananas
and then we're going to load it up with spinach as well.
So guys, we have a bowl of like frozen mango here.
Yeah.
And let's see how much we need.
Do you want to put that thing in?
Let's start with that and then see.
Okay, the last ingredient actually is some flax oil.
So lately I really love some cold press flax oil.
If you don't like oils, then you can use flax seeds.
So these are a great source of omega-3s.
They're great for your brain.
And I've noticed they're really good for my skin.
So I've noticed my skin has gotten better
since consuming this in my smoothies.
And I know Dr. Brooke Goldner,
she's been on the channel before.
She reversed her lupus through diet.
And this is part of her protocol,
the flax oil in her smoothies.
And she talks a lot about that.
So go follow her if you want.
I'll link her interview down below.
Do you want to hit the blend button?
Yeah.
You can start.
This is my favorite.
It is so freaking good.
So healthy.
And I like to have smoothies after my workout.
Good, right?
Would you say that even if the camera wasn't on?
Good?
Yeah.
It's good.
Delicious.
My favorite.
You guys gotta try this.
And let's move to the next one.
Okay, so lately I also like a nice veggie plate
and satisfying delicious dip for a meal as well.
So here I'm gonna show you my new cucumber and dill dip.
It's so amazing.
And we're gonna cut up some organic fresh veggies.
And I was just talking to my daughter.
We were talking about how fruits and vegetables
resemble the body parts that they're good for.
Carrot represent good for eyes
because when you cut them up, they look like a heart.
Yeah, and then tomatoes, when you cut them open,
see, they look like the heart.
The tomatoes are good for your heart.
Yeah, you know what you're doing, right?
Yeah, I'm a pro.
And isn't this tray gorgeous, you guys?
Look at it.
I'm obsessed.
It's all glass.
It's actually like, it's so well-made.
It's handmade.
I got it on Amazon.
So I'll try and link it down below.
And it's in my Amazon store, all the stuff I love.
So yeah, we're just cutting up,
cut up all your favorite veggies.
If you guys like something else, cut up something else.
Sliced zucchini would be good with this as well.
Cauliflower, whatever you want.
Just basically eat the rainbow.
Add lots of colors and then you'll feel colorful,
feel happy.
It makes such a difference when you eat
these high vibration foods.
Now we have our beautiful veggie plate.
I'm gonna make the dip to go with it.
There's so many different dips you can make.
And I have other dips.
I have ranch dip, all these other things in my ebook.
So get the plant-based bundle.
And if the plant-based bundle is over
when you're watching this,
my ebook will still be available separately.
I'll put it down below and a code still
to save on the Nama stuff,
if you want them to juice or blend.
And look at this.
So my recipes are easy.
Right?
So like I said, this is gonna be a cucumber dill dip
with only a few ingredients.
So we're gonna use,
we soaked some cashews for four hours first.
So this makes them easier to digest.
This makes them easier to blend.
And I do notice a difference on digestion with these.
So I'm gonna just go in,
rinse these and get them into the blender.
We're gonna use one cup of soaked cashews.
And we're gonna use one cucumber,
hence the cucumber dill dip.
So we're gonna chop and dice this up.
And then the juice of one lemon we're gonna use.
And then we're gonna use about a tablespoon
of chopped fresh dill.
You guys, this is one of my favorites.
And we're gonna use a little bit of sea salt as well.
And another thing that would be nice in this recipe,
if you wanted a little bit more of some pizzazz
is some garlic as well.
So you could do that optional.
So with this, we're gonna add a little bit of water
to blend.
So I'm not gonna say an exact amount
because it depends how you like your dip.
I typically like my dip a little bit thicker,
but you can do it thinner, thicker,
whatever you like, depending on how much water.
So play around with it.
Okay, guys, I actually screwed up,
but we're gonna see if this turned into a good thing.
Because sometimes these screw ups
turn into little blessings.
But I meant to peel the cucumber and I forgot.
So peel your cucumber and then you'll get a whiter,
like classic white cucumber dill dip.
But this is green.
It still smells really good,
even with the cucumber peel.
And there's so many nutrients in the cucumber peel.
So let's try a dip like that and see how it is.
It still looks delicious.
And this blender is amazing.
It can blend anything.
Look how good it blended this dip.
It blends so well, cashews, everything.
So I have replaced my Vitamix with this.
The Vitamix is obviously amazing
and that's what I used for years and years.
But now it's so nice to have one product
that you can do your blending and your juicing on
and you can make like all these high quality meals in.
So here we go.
How beautiful does this look?
We have a nice meal right here, so healthy.
And I'm gonna try this dip.
So I don't know-
Me too.
My friend changed Mae's hair.
They just did braids.
In case you're wondering why she's showing up mid video
with different hair,
in case you guys are observant and smart.
So this one is gonna be my new raw vegan ranch.
This is very simple and very delicious.
So we're gonna use the blender for this as well,
for the dressing.
And then the next recipe, the last one,
you don't need a blender, anything.
And it's just like I've been eating it every single day.
So stay tuned for the last one too.
And look, you guys, I actually got this at Whole Foods.
Sometimes just getting these greens
already done like this and chopped.
I know like technically it's better to chop your own fresh,
but sometimes it's just easier if you have kids
and you live a busy life like I do.
And these have some edible flowers as well.
How beautiful is that?
That reminds me of Kara Brotman.
When I see flowers and salads,
I think of Marcus Rothschild and Kara Brotman.
And I had a big interview with them in Las Vegas
at her house and she's next level amazing.
So that interview will air either tomorrow or the next day.
Subscribe for that.
She's in her fifties, long-term vegan,
lots of raw over the years and she looks incredible.
So let's load this salad and then I'll show you guys
the amazing dressing recipe.
So I forgot to say for the veggie dip too,
with the veggie dips,
it'll be better if you chill them first.
Sometimes the blender will warm it up a little bit
when you blend.
So you'll wanna maybe put it in the fridge first
and then it'll last a couple of days anyway,
but put it in the fridge to chill for like a couple hours
and then have your veggie plate with it.
That's ideal.
With this salad too,
so I'm gonna do the base of the greens.
You can do any greens with this
and I'm chopping up some beautiful little cherry tomatoes.
They're just so gorgeous.
And I'm gonna chop up some cucumbers as well
and some bell peppers.
I just like things nice and simple.
So now for the delicious raw vegan ranch dressing.
This is so good.
Even we recently went away for May's birthday to a hotel
in beautiful Niagara on the lake
and showed up Prince of Wales.
It was amazing, right?
And I even brought this.
So you can bring all these foods on the go.
I have a little cooler bag.
I bring it to the hotel.
At hotels, you can ask for an extra fridge if you need to,
but I'm so hooked on this that I brought it there.
So it's really good.
And again, this and so many recipes in my new ebook.
So grab the ebook, but even if you don't,
I love you guys, I love having you here,
but these are some soaked cashews.
So I soaked the cashews again for this dish as well.
I don't feel as good when I eat cashews whole,
like snack on them,
but when they're soaked
and they're just blended into a dressing,
they make me feel great.
I feel great after these meals
or I wouldn't be eating them.
So we're gonna do in this dressing,
we're gonna do one cup of soaked and rinsed cashews.
We're gonna do the juice of one lemon.
We're gonna do a little bit of sea salt and pepper.
And I actually like this.
This is a sea salt that is from Greece
and it has been iodized.
It has a little bit of iodine in it
because I think iodine is important on any diet at all.
So that's how I get my iodine source.
Same with my supplements that I'll link below,
but I think that's why I have that.
And then we're gonna put in a teaspoon of,
we're gonna put in a teaspoon of dried garlic powder,
a teaspoon of dried onion powder,
and we're gonna put in a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
Okay, so here we go.
Nice little dressing.
And I added a little bit of water to blend as well.
This is looking a little thick,
so I'm gonna just open it up
and add a little bit more water
to get that desired consistency.
And with this blender or with any blender you use
that's this style,
it's great because it's typically recommended
to start on the low setting
and then work your way up to the high setting.
So for the longest time, I didn't realize that.
When I had my Vitamix,
I used to just turn it on high blast
and it's way better to give it time to get going
and then move it up.
Look at that.
And it's so much healthier
just to make these meals fresh at home.
They take no time at all.
And then you have your own little meal.
So this looks good.
This is my raw vegan ranch salad dressing.
So delicious, you guys.
Look at it.
Oh my gosh.
And then look, this is perfect.
So what I do is I have extra
because I made a little bit of a bigger batch.
I pour it in here
and then I have my ranch dressing for tomorrow as well.
So if you want to take it to work or whatever you do
and it has the lemon in it.
So that'll make it last for a couple of days.
I find it lasts pretty good.
And then what I do is,
so I put this all over my salad
and if you want it thinner,
you can just add more water.
And I put it all over my salad
and then I add extra salt and pepper
into the top of the ranch salad after I do that.
And I squeeze a little bit more lemon on the top.
So I find that makes it just perfect, you guys.
So let me get the last one.
The last one is my favorite.
It's been my go-to lately and it's so satisfying.
So I'll go prepare for that and see you guys in a sec.
And before we do that,
May wants to try,
because flowers are edible, isn't it amazing?
Like I was saying,
Cara and Marcus helped us realize that.
But May wants to try a flower for the first time.
Is it good?
Way to go.
Look at you eating flowers.
You got to film with me more often.
We'll get all these things in your belly, right?
Okay, this salad is so addictive.
It's so satisfying and just so natural, simple,
easy to make,
and you don't need any machines or anything for this one.
So I'm super stoked to show you guys
what we're going to get into right now.
And so you're going to use about one head of lettuce.
This is a red leaf lettuce I got from Whole Foods.
It's organic.
Can I do it?
Yeah, try eat as organic as you guys can.
And I just made a reel to show people.
A lot of people don't realize,
like the stickers that you see on foods right here,
what they mean.
So if they're organic,
they'll start with a nine and there'll be five digits.
If they're conventional,
they'll start typically with a four or a three
and there'll be four digits.
So we want to stick to it.
This is actually conventional.
I do try to eat as much organic as possible.
That is always best.
Less pesticides, right?
Especially with your greens.
Stuff like greens or stuff like strawberries
are known to have like 22 different pesticides.
So yeah, anyway.
So let's start with our-
Can I just break it off?
Yeah, you can break it off
or I can chop it up either one.
You can break it off and then I'll chop it up more.
That's a good idea.
And even if you guys don't want to be all raw,
I get it for some people.
They think it's so extreme.
I mean, I do it because it makes me feel my best.
I noticed a huge difference eating raw food
versus how I feel eating cooked food.
So that's why I do this
because it makes me feel my best, full of energy, alive.
But if you don't want to do it, I get it.
People want to go out for meals,
connect with people over the cooked food, the wine.
Like I get it for a lot of people.
They don't want to do like fully raw,
but even just adding in the more meals
can make a huge difference.
Okay, so it's really simple.
Just for the vegetables,
I'm going to use cherry tomatoes.
And you don't have to make a portion this big
if you don't want.
Sure, yeah.
Lots of times people ask me like,
how much do I eat raw?
I say, just eat however much you want.
Everybody is different.
Eat however much until you feel full.
And then it's pretty simple, guys.
We've got to get more connected to ourselves
and not like outside things, I feel like.
So I forget if I said to,
but this is like a Mexican,
dulce guacamole salad.
And with this, I'm going to add corn.
Many people don't realize you can eat raw corn.
It has such a nice crunch to it.
It adds flavor and it's delicious,
especially in a salad like this.
So I'm just going to cut it right over top of the salad.
And I'm going to use two cups of corn with this.
And corn is something that,
like things like corn and soy,
it's really common for them to be genetically modified.
So you always want to try as much,
get it as natural as possible.
So the way to ensure that is getting corn
that you see labeled starting with a nine on the sticker.
You don't always have to be perfect, right?
Sometimes I eat things that are GMO.
Sometimes I eat things that are conventional
and I don't like aim to be perfect.
I just do the best I can, like we all do, right?
So there, okay.
We've got some corn.
We've got some tomato and cucumbers so far.
Oh, you can eat that.
And then I'm going to chop up a handful of fresh cilantro.
So they say cilantro detox is heavy metals.
I mean, I don't know.
It makes me feel great.
So, and in case you missed the video,
I did a video with the new Namaste too.
And I showed my favorite salad dressing and it's so simple.
One of my favorites, and it's in the recipe book too,
it's just cilantro, sesame seeds, and lime.
So that's a delicious addition to any salad as well.
Okay, so what I'm going to add to the top of this
is some fresh made salsa and fresh made guacamole.
I actually bought these at Whole Foods
because sometimes I'm just busy.
Like I have a day of filming today
and I've just been so busy with my kids.
But in my ebook, I do have fresh recipes
for guacamole and salsa.
And you guys I'm sure have recipes for that too.
But if you're too busy, don't be afraid to buy them fresh
at a good, like at a good health food store.
So I'm going to add on some salsa to the top.
I usually just put some in the corners
and then I mix it all up after as I eat it.
And if you guys want to know what they use
to make this salsa, it's Roma tomatoes, white onions,
jalapenos, cilantro, limes, and kosher salt.
And then we're going to add some guacamole to this as well.
And this guacamole, if you're curious, is avocado,
Roma tomatoes, white onion, jalapenos, cilantro,
lime, salt, and garlic, and black pepper.
And so good.
Guacamole is one of my favorite things on the earth.
Another great snack is just guacamole with cucumbers,
you just dip cucumbers into guacamole.
And what I'm going to do to the top of this
is I'm going to squeeze lime all over it, lime juice,
and then also add some of the iodized sea salt.
Do you want to do the lime?
This is sour.
Yeah, I'm going to add.
And if you guys don't like salt, then don't add salt.
I know that was actually a lot of salt,
a little more than I usually use.
I love salt.
But look at this.
This is very delicious.
And if you guys want, like to me,
this is perfect just like it is,
especially as you mix everything up and eat it together.
It has a nice crunch, a nice balance with the guac
and salsa and the veggies and the cilantro.
And it's really simple.
It's just real ingredients.
You don't even need a blender for it.
And it's amazing any time of year.
And if you guys felt like,
if you felt like you needed more with it,
you could always add like some walnut taco meat
or those types of things, some crackers, whatever,
but it's really good just like this.
Here you have our beautiful five raw vegan meals
I currently eat every week.
And I switched this up, made it a great video
about this with me, I think last year.
Oh yeah.
And it was five totally different meals
and it did really well.
I'll post it down below.
If you guys want to go get that one too.
Look at these meals, full of life, beautiful, gorgeous.
And sorry, excuse me.
We're going to get some forks.
We're going to dig in.
And don't forget to grab a Nama juicer
or the juicer and blender in one.
Grab the plant-based bundle right now.
