bour everyone welcome back to the
channel I am excited for this video
because I'm going to take you with me on
a couple of trips I took in the past few
weeks to find gorgeous Volant items now
you may know if you've been following me
for a while that I like to find my Brant
items at other places than a Brant I
don't know it's just the pleasure of
treasure hunting and Finding the
Treasure myself so I'm going to take you
with me on a couple of trips the first
one is actually not Brant but we have a
really cool addition to our rental
spaces so we're going to pick that up
first and then I'm going to drive to a
couple of places that's not all filmed
in one day it's over the past few weeks
and at the end of the video I'm going to
sit back here with you and share all the
things that are on this table that you
maybe can't see or maybe see details of
but can't see what exactly it is so I'm
excited to share all of that with you
let's jump into the video we're on our
way to a tiny village just outside of
Dion to Kami godar who has Linette
Delbert which is a pottery she makes
Pottery all handmade with materials
sourced from burgundy and we're going to
get really gorgeous personalized coffee
mugs here for the cabin and the cottage
[Music]
in this super cute little cabin in her
garden she has her little aier and she
explained to me how she makes her
[Music]
pottery the clay she uses as you can see
is black she shaves the mug or the bowl
and then it's cooked for 24 hours at a
little over 1,000° C and it's incredible
to see how much the color changes to
this really gorgeous pale pink salmony
color but it's not safe to use for food
so she dips the items into an enamel
bath she stamps on the text that you've
ordered and then she cooks it again for
another another 24 hours at 130° C and
this is the result a super beautiful
shiny personalized mug I was so happy
with these and as you can imagine I'm
thinking of getting bulls and all that
kind of
[Music]
stuff
so I'm so happy I have picked up these
mugs now let's continue to the first
address in Dion or close to Dion where I
actually picked up a really nice oil
painting very tiny painting and I
realized while editing this video that I
forgot to show it to you it's tucked
somewhere in our storage
but I'm probably going to hang this in
our new kitchen so stay tuned that's
going to be a couple of months but then
I can share it with you when we have
finished the kitchen so let me now take
you to the second address where I went
and I find these items online on a
website called leang and it's a website
where individuals can sell items that
they no longer need and it's really nice
I have some of my best finds actually I
found them on
[Music]
Le I'm in the entry way of an apartment
building because I'm picking up these
that I found online from a private
seller they are so gorgeous I saw these
two and I just love them so much and
then I don't know how we came to talk
about this I said to the lady if you
have more if you're interested and she
tells me she has eight more so I'll have
10 of these this is one of those lucky
days people they are so
gorgeous and a couple of days later I
found something I've been looking for
for a long time on Le again so I drove
to the natural park L to a really tiny
village where I picked up this thing at
a vid Meson and there are actually many
more Treasures that I found at that VI
mesel and it was also pretty close to an
that I go to occasionally let me take
you
there hey I used to have this photograph
in a frame in our house in the
Netherlands it's by Elliot irit
I was a little confused because they had
changed the layout of this store since I
last came here and I was looking to find
where the vessel is which is my favorite
of course as many of you know and I have
to say I don't often come to this store
anymore because I feel they are a little
ridiculous with their prices recently
now you should know that miuse is a
charity so their main goal is to help
people get back on their feet when they
can't for whatever reason support
themselves temporarily so they offer
housing a community for them to live in
and to get back to work and back on
their feet so the way that they make
money for the community is by recycling
products emptying houses for people and
they sell the items that either they get
from cleaning up and clearing homes or
that they get donated and the other um
objective that they have is to be a
place for people to buy secondhand items
at very reasonable prices now I have
found lately that the prices in this
particular one are really getting close
to Brant shops prices which to me makes
no sense people that will shop here
because it's more affordable that
definitely isn't true anymore but I also
understand why they're doing it because
they have a lot of
broter that come so maybe Dutch Brant
shop owners that come to M and they pick
the items that are suitable for bant
shops and they are usually not the items
that the people that shop there for
themselves buy which is also true for me
when I go to OS for something I need for
myself that is not the same items that I
buy for my interior decoration projects
or for you know for the bant stuff but
it does mean that the items that I like
tend to be more expensive at this
particular OS than they are at a really
good brokan shop and that for some
reason just doesn't really make a lot of
sense to
me
where
e
I was looking at this and trying to
determine what it was for so if any of
you know how this is used do let me know
in the
comment

I believe this style of pottery is from
the alas region in the northeas of
France honey told me this when she
showed me a really beautiful item in her
shop maybe you've seen I've done two
videos in her Brant shop and what I've
learned is that it's very nicely
decorated and very colorful very
different from the style that I would
choose but very beautiful as well I'll
link all the videos in the description
if you want to have a look at those
videos

so let's go back to the table where I
have all the gorgeous items laid out for
you so I can show you everything that we
got on these various trips all right so
we're back and let's look at all the
beautiful things that I found I have to
say the vidm that I went to which is an
estate sale what you would call that in
the US I guess that was amazing I found
out about the vimes on Le the reason
that I found this woman is because I was
looking for silverware like uh knives
Forks stuff like that and I found this
one and it looks like it's old because
it has the pattern on it that you find
on
silverplated silverware traditionally
and I have that as well but it's a
little harder to keep clean and this can
go in a dishwasher and it has the same
aesthetic it also has this gorgeous uh
Louch what's that in English for soup
soups and these little Forks that I
really liked so I got the miner is what
the french will call that so that's a
set with SP uh spoons forks knives often
in a miner you don't find the knives so
it's difficult especially when you find
you will find them with modern ones of
course but when you get the older ones
the silver or the the solid silver or
the silverplated ones they often don't
have knives so I have been told by honey
that maybe you've seen we've done two
videos in her shop and she said it's
because people had their own like knife
like their Swiss knives and they used
that I don't know if that's true but
sounds like that could be a reason so
the minute I walk in the first thing
that caught my eye was this this is what
you would call a set the toilet so it
had a large pitcher and a little soap
dish
and then this big bowl so of course
traditionally people use this when they
didn't have bathrooms to wash themselves
and I really really loved the design of
this one and it was in perfect condition
the print has faded on some areas but
other than that it looks absolutely
gorgeous I have no clue what I'm going
to use it for this can also serve as a
vase and the big bowl I use these in my
garden as well I put a Rock in so that
birds can sit on the Rock and then drink
from the water they also had these
gorgeous plates now these are also badon
VI the model is Monique from France of
course and I absolutely loved this style
so some of the plates are a little
damaged which is okay I mean it just
tells me they've been used I've done a
video about how I feel about using old
used uh table wear and kitchen wears um
if they have cracks I will not use them
because they might that might be
dangerous for your health but if they
have a little like chip on the side
where your food isn't going to be it is
okay and there were many that were still
in very good condition and it also had
these Hollow plates that she said the
family didn't use as much and that you
can tell because there are so much more
they're almost like some of them look
like they have never been used so I
think have about 10 or 12 maybe of those
this Terin which you wouldn't call a
suier in French I think we called it a
suier when we were talking about it but
it's actually I think to put legum so to
put vegetables in and her mom use this
with the plates but I immediately
recognized the design this is the
guarumin uh it's called K because I have
several plates from this uh particular
design and I know what at some point
damin made a whole series with these
blue and red with the decorated rims and
they have different styles that look a
lot like the other one I immediately
recognized that it's from the same
series it's not the same model and there
are these I just showed you them when I
was in that um apartment building and
this is the model Marinette by damin and
as you can see it looks a lot like the K
uh model but what I like about it is
that that you can make a big table for
lots of people and as long as you stay
in the same color scheme I think it is
wonderful because it gives this de as
they say in French so this um
non-matching uh style but because you're
in the same colors it is it still looks
beautiful on your table so these are
actually paid €5 per plate which is a
lot honestly uh it's almost Brant like
at a Brant you maybe pay eight or 10 I
bought them because I know the the aset
plat so the normal plates are more
difficult for me to find than Hollow
plates so I just jumped on that
opportunity these uh on the other hand
so all these these with this she sold me
for 15 which is well some of them these
are perfect condition some of them are
broken so I think that price was very
reasonable especially since it is a v
mle i find them at M and they'll be more
expensive a lot of online pocon stores
like Etsy will sell it at higher prices
which makes sense because it's just more
work even if they have you pay for
shipping the shipping is ridiculous but
it's also all the time that you put in
as a pokon seller to carefully pack
things and wrap things and bring it
somewhere to be shipped so those prices
generally are much much higher so let's
go back to the house where I found these
gorgeous plates this gorgeous set the
tolet and the silverware because she
also gifted me these two vases that I
was looking at she meant she saw me
looking at them and so she was like okay
uh if you want to take those just just
take those they're a gift I just want to
get rid of everything I usually don't
like it when they have painted flowers
on them but somehow these spoke to me
and I was happy she gifted them to me I
use them everywhere around the house to
put little flowers in everywhere during
the summer season when we have plenty of
fresh flowers from our garden and I also
bought this p in uh what is that a
skillet a Copper Skillet I don't have
the habit of using copper in my kitchen
I use cast iron but I thought it would
look really nice in my new kitchen to
hang where my wood fired stove will go
and as you can see it was in quite good
condition I just need to give it a
really good clean she actually gave me
the the product to clean it because she
said I'm getting rid of all the copper
items so you can have that if you want
and the last thing that I saw and we
were just laughing the woman and I
because I said I told my husband I would
come pick up the mener so he's going to
be very surprised when he sees me come
back home with so many more items than I
was actually coming for because she had
a whole collection of books these little
books caught my eye um because it
said so that means love stories from the
French history it's I think a collection
of stories or historical facts about who
was dating who and who was married to
whom and I think it's just interesting
because when you think back about
marriage and love how it was like in the
day back in the day um it had a lot of
impact who you married and people had
had a lot of opinions about what you did
and I think it was
this collect little cards that you then
had to glue into the book because every
so many pages there seems to be like a
card that was glued in so so it looks
like it was some kind
of some kind of like collector's item
things it just I was just so intrigued
by it and the woman saw that and she
said you can get them for €1 all of them
so I was talking about how I went to uh
the in that's in so that was really
close to where the vi was I saw a couple
of M
Cafe and this one actually the bottom
came off when I put it in my car car so
but Olaf can easily fix it it is
complete this is all still complete the
little um opening here is still
sometimes that's missing uh the drawer
was in really good condition and clean
and it is a p one so it still has the P
brand on it um and I thought oh they
probably sell this at 30 or something so
I went up to the guy anyway cuz I was
just curious it didn't have a price they
sold this to me for
€5 which is an absolute steal so that's
all I got at that am and then I went to
my local M which is only 10 minutes away
I did not film there but I am really
happy to share the finds with you let's
start with these glasses because I have
a couple of these we these are just
glasses is in Crystal so this is
completely safe to drink from as well
and I had many of these and a lot broke
and and some were smaller so every time
I see them because we use them all the
time I buy them so I got four of these
and I was also really happy to find this
now I need to get this the price tag off
it's been on there for very long by the
look of it um I often make cookies or a
little snack for our guests and I
actually wanted to have one of those um
clush I don't know what that is uh
and it's
akok which is a very well-known brand
you may have seen the pink swirl
Depression Glass glasses that I have I
have a whole collection of them uh which
is called Rosaline it's by arok as well
it's the glass manufacturer I would say
in France but I just thought this was
really nice when I like just want to
have two pieces of cake and put that in
the cabin or the cottage also found a
whole set of these uh deang I have have
many of these and we use them all the
time for coffee or for water uh at our
dinner table cuz I really like combining
glass with Earth wear in these brown
colors and I even think they go very
nice with with these colors I like
mixing everything up and I also found
and they are not very easy to find these
Mir the Barb so that's Barber's mirrors
the back is usually leather this one was
very damaged I have a nicer one but I
will be hanging this in our future
toilet that we're going to create for
our family's home and what I liked about
this smaller one is that you can sit it
somewhere when maybe when you do your
makeup so I was getting all kinds of
ideas for my uh what is that called my
vanity that I'm going to have in our new
bedroom uh I don't use a lot of makeup
but when I do I need a good mirror cuz
I'm 46 I also found these doer ver doer
what do you call them um they were a
little damaged they weren't in perfect
condition but I'm going to use them as
Decor I think and I just really like to
be able to put them on my kitchen cuz
since I was thinking of having some
copper for Decor um I also have a really
nice set of copper kitchen utensils I
just wanted to bring them in I can
always donate them back to M or sell
them I don't really sell anything
anymore but occasionally when I think oh
uh I'm not going to use this in my home
they I'm put I put them up for adoption
as I say somebody else can adopt them
for their home so that was my little or
big haul that I was really excited about
I know some people think that every time
I go to m I end up finding all of this
that's definitely c not the case there
are many many times that I go when I
don't find anything at all I always like
to say that so that you're realistic
about when you travel to France how well
you're going to be able to find things
what I always say to our guests is if
you really have specific items in mind
for example I did this when I wanted to
buy plated
silverplated knives I know where to go
and I'll know that I'll find them if I
go to em I need to go maybe 20 times and
I still haven't found them specific item
you need the best way to do it for me to
find it is to go to L and search it on
that website why because a lot of the
sellers there are individuals so for
example this woman cleaning up the house
she does not necessarily want the best
price for it she just wants it to go
professional sellers on leang you'll
you'll recognize them because prices
will be much higher but again they have
done all the sourcing they have been
doing the 50 drives or what cleaning
somebody's house and in between the mess
found the treasures so they deserve to
get a profit um that's how I look at it
so a br or um a search online either in
an Etsy shop or on Le is the easiest and
fastest way to find something you're
particularly looking for to find the
treasures like
these aren't items that I was looking
for it's like you just run into them you
love them you fall in love with them you
buy them same for the Set uh set the
toilet same for these books that for me
is the pleasure of going into a Brant
store going to mius or going to a v it
would also be the same thrill you find
in a VI which is where everybody just
it's like a big market and everybody can
just you just pay to get a meter you
just empty your attic and you take a
little blanket and that's how you try to
sell your stuff that is a v g I don't
really like them because they're just
too overwhelming for me too many people
too many stalls it just doesn't work for
me but you do have that thrill of like
there's a box underneath the stall and
you're opening it and then there's this
gorgeous thing in there thanks for
watching as always and I will be back
next week with a new video bye for now
